The cottage is owned by an artist ( painter) and is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the city, with stunning views. It can accommodate up to 5 to 6 persons ( 2 double bedrooms, one single bedroom, an extra folding bed)
You have the whole house for yourself and can enjoy the private enclosed garden, with roses and flowers, the wooden terrace overlooking orchards and gardens above the river " Armançon".
THE NEIBOURGHOOD : Semur-en-Auxois is one of the jewels of Burgundy : an enchanting, well preserved medieval city, surrounded with green and lush countryside. It is small enough that you can cover it by foot easily, but big enough to have cafés, restaurants, bakeries, wineshops and even a supermarket. From Semur, you can also easily explore historic Burgundy : abbeys ( the famous " abbaye de Fontenay " a unesco monument is closeby ) , castles, beautiful villages, vineyards...There is a lake nearby for sweaming and boating.

ACCESS : * By Car: Dijon - 80 kms about 1hr / Paris - 250 kms about 2hrs40 min *By train : TGV fast train from Paris-Gare de Lyon to Montbard : 1 hour only and then a coach or taxi takes you in 20 min to Semur. (There are also direct TGV trains from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Montbard. ).
* No private parking lot, but you can easily park in the street. In Semur, a car is not essential but better if you wish to visit the area.
