Why Jason chose Holmes
We fell in love with lakefront cabin life staying with a friend and enjoying all that their lake had to offer. We were looking for a similar weekend getaway and this lovely house just fell from the Gods it seemed.
What makes this Cabin unique
We've often been told that the house works both for someone who wants a rustic, authentic cabin-feel, as well as for someone who may perhaps not want to leave all modern conveniences aside and appreciates art and design. It's comfortable, cozy, tasteful, and can be as adventurous or peaceful as you make it. It seems to please almost every type of person needing a break from city life.

Perfect lakeside getaway
We came to Jason’s cabin for our anniversary and it was perfect. The cabin is so well designed with comfy beds and nice towels, plus plenty of blankets and pillows. We grilled, we canoed, we swam, we fished. Amazing little library of books and games and Apple TV plus good WiFi. Though, one of my favorite parts was being outside all day and having no clue what time it was and just disconnecting to the outside world. It seriously could not have been better and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks Jason! And much appreciated on the later check out!
Relaxing and peaceful
Simple, comfortable and cute cabin on a beautiful private lake. Plenty of medium size bass, crappie and bluegill for old school fishing entertainment. Resident geese, swans and even a bald eagle made regular appearances.
Perfect weekend getaway in great cabin!
Jason was an excellent host and his cabin was the perfect fit for a quiet getaway. Comfortable, clean, and all the amenities one needs inside and out to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The fishing was great too and the fact that the cabin has all sorts of canoes, kayaks, and fishing equipment ready to use made it even better. Unexpected bonus was randomly seeing a bald eagle while on the lake.
The location is easy to get to from NYC and NJ but far enough to feel like a real escape.
Will definitely stay again!
Great little get away!
Just what we were looking for. Charming, tranquil, cozy cabin with all that you need for use of the lake. Our family totally enjoyed lots of good fishing, boating, and good long walks. So happy we found it! Thanks Jason! We will return :)
Charming, quiet, easy
A beautiful cabin that feels like one, but totally updated and comfortable. A fantastic place for a recharge; the lake is gorgeous with terrific bird life, the location is secluded, but close to Beacon/Harlem line/all the Taconic charms. We would come back over and over, and we just might.
House was clean, secluded and overall perfect for our little getaway.
House was clean and owner was more than accessible and accommodating. Perfect get away for the wife and myself. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area
