Beautiful Home - Walking Distance to the Wai 'Opae Tide Pools

Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-6)

Paradise awaits you at this brand new, charming home that sleeps five comfortably. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom, the second bedroom has a queen size bed and access to a shared bathroom, and the small den has a full size sleeper sofa if needed. All rooms have access to the wrap-around lanai that features ceiling fans, hammocks, dining furniture, lounge chairs and a tiki bar. For your grilling pleasure, there is a full sized gas grill on the lanai.

The house has an open feel, with ceiling fans throughout. It has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances, a long center island that can accommodate up to six at the breakfast bar in addition to the dining area.

The living room has a 32” flat screen TV, DVD player, satellite tv, and a nice collection of DVD movies.

Forgot to bring your mask and snorkel? No worries! We have some you can use, because a short walk from the house is the best snorkeling on the Big Island - the Wai ’Opae Tide Pools. The offshore reef protects the tide pools from the sometimes-harsh southeastern shores of Hawaii. As you explore the maze of pools, you will find corals, schools of juvenile fish, moray eels, sea urchins, sea turtles, etc… It is like being in an aquarium! When you come home from the tide pools, there is an outside shower you can use to rinse off.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a family looking to spend quality time together, our home offers something for everyone in paradise.

The house is perfect. Everything you need and more. Well stocked, very VERY clean, private, secure, and peaceful. The area is amazing. Forget big hotels and restaurants. This is the real Hawaii.

Perfect home for us!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for 2 couples to stay in by the Kapoho Tidepools! Gorgeous wraparound porch was perfect for relaxing and listening to the ocean. 2 bedrooms in opposite corners with separate bathrooms kept it nice and private for me and my husband and my in laws. Tidepools were a very short walk away allowing for lots of snorkel trips where we saw stunning fish and even a turtle! The community was lovely and private, with birds, frogs, and lizards that made it feel like a jungle (in a good way) but with a lovely sea breeze that kept the house comfortable and not muggy at all. The house was perfectly appointed and the owner emailed great suggestions for local activities and restaurants. Hilo and Volcanoes National Park are less than an hour away so this makes a great base for exploring the southeast part of the island. I could have stayed here forever and hope to come back to the house someday with my parents or some friends!

It really is a beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

in a beautiful and peaceful location. The welcome was faultless, the ceilings fans had even been switched on for our arrival and there were fresh flowers. The kitchen was more than fully equipped, anything we needed or thought of was easily found. The wraparound lanai with garden furiture and hammocks was perfect for luxurious relaxation and barbecues. We visited the tidepools which were perfect for adults and children alike. You are completely undisturbed during the evening and the location made stargazing a real treat.

Great location, peekaboo ocean view

  • 5 of 5

Perfect in every way. Very well equipped clean kitchen. 3 minute walk to tide pools, relatively easy drive to Hilo for Merrie Monarch festival but count on traffic. Uncle Roberts on Wednesday evenings are a must do. Fast refund of damage deposit. Would stay again!

Very well appointed home. This is our 2nd stay and we plan to come back again.

  • 5 of 5

We come for the snorkeling and so far we have seen over 20 different fish and a turtle. First time I have seen a yellow tang on this side of the Island and although they are not rare, they and the parrotfish are favorites of mine. Locals pointed out a bright yellow frog fish. A great home to share with 2 families as there is lots of space with 2 well appointed bedrooms and baths. Lots of seating on the spacious back deck and 2 hammocks. Still haven't watched any of the large selection of movies - next year perhaps. Any problems and Lloyd is willing and ready to assist. We seem to always have problems figuring out a new tv. Lots of snorkeling gear so no need to bring your own. Great house and great location.

Great house and excellent service

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house for my brother's family after having stayed in it in 2014 for 3 weeks. It is a lovely house with a nice partial ocean view and an easy walk to the tide pools. Lisa and her local manager Lloyd are both great to deal with.
