Paradise awaits you at this brand new, charming home that sleeps five comfortably. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom, the second bedroom has a queen size bed and access to a shared bathroom, and the small den has a full size sleeper sofa if needed. All rooms have access to the wrap-around lanai that features ceiling fans, hammocks, dining furniture, lounge chairs and a tiki bar. For your grilling pleasure, there is a full sized gas grill on the lanai.
The house has an open feel, with ceiling fans throughout. It has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances, a long center island that can accommodate up to six at the breakfast bar in addition to the dining area.
The living room has a 32” flat screen TV, DVD player, satellite tv, and a nice collection of DVD movies.
Forgot to bring your mask and snorkel? No worries! We have some you can use, because a short walk from the house is the best snorkeling on the Big Island - the Wai ’Opae Tide Pools. The offshore reef protects the tide pools from the sometimes-harsh southeastern shores of Hawaii. As you explore the maze of pools, you will find corals, schools of juvenile fish, moray eels, sea urchins, sea turtles, etc… It is like being in an aquarium! When you come home from the tide pools, there is an outside shower you can use to rinse off.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a family looking to spend quality time together, our home offers something for everyone in paradise.

Best snorkeling on island & beautifully appointed house. Have been coming for several years.
Each the time we see more new fish in the tidepools. Swam closely with 1 turtle and saw multiple eels. New fish this time was a beige green puffer with large beige splotches on it’s back and bright blue bulging eyes. Lots of ☔️ but one can still snorkel. I wear a wet suit jacket & pants so I stay warm. We bring our own snorkeling gear but lots is available at the house. The local caretakers, Lloyd & Mindy are always available for questions and assistance. Love the house and the back deck. Well appointed and perfect for 2 couples. Not sure how many years we have been coming but will definitely make this a yearly adventure. If you ❤️ to snorkel this is definitely the place to come. Had a 1.5 hour massage at the house this time from the owner of Big Island Massage Network.
What a great place to stay! We normally stay at really nice time share condo's and our kids and us thought this was way better! It basically has three bedrooms - enough for all four of us to have our own room. The two bathrooms were very nice with awesome showers. The kitchen island is one of the biggest I've ever seen. The peek a boo views of the ocean from the deck were great to see as was the lush foliage of the yard. We had great weather during our stay too! It was so nice driving by the general public parking spaces to our house that was so much closer to the tide pools. The tide pools are filled with colorful fish and are fun to snorkel in. The one drawback is that there's no air conditioning, but if you open the windows and sleep with the ceiling fans on its no problem. A six minutes drive away is a hot pool that is around 90 degrees so it's like this place has a heated pool. We would definitely rent again!
My only complaint is that we didn’t book a longer stay! If I ever have the opportunity to come back to the Big Island, I will stay here! It was impeccably clean when we arrived and had everything we could need for our stay. It was the perfect location. We walked to the tidepools each morning and it was an easy drive to the volcano and Waimea Valley. Thanks for the great house Liza!
Beautiful home in a nice quiet neighborhood and great location for exploring the east side.
Spacious home with lovely lanai in the jungle. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathrooms are beautiful, and they have lots of beach and snorkel gear to borrow. It is a short walk to the tide pools, a short drive to the warm springs and to bike/hike out to see the lava flow. My favorite part was falling asleep to the coqui frogs, ocean waves and palm trees.
Great house in the perfect location.
The house is clean and very comfortable. The owner offered many suggestions for nearby sights and restaurants. The tide pools are a must as is the town of Pahoa, which somehow got stuck in the hippy ‘60s. If you prefer the quiet side of The Big Island, with close proximity to volcano national park, book this place.
This house was perfect for my family of four. It had everything we needed (including snorkeling gear, shoes and beach towels!). We didn't realize how wonderful the tide pools would be and how perfect this location was to reach the volcanoes and waterfalls. Mostly we ignored any rain and continued our outdoor activities but the planetarium and tsunami museum were two indoor visits my boys loved. Thank you for sharing you home with us.
A short walk to the Wai'Opae tide pools, 15 min to the town of Pahoa, 5 min to the thermal ponds, 10 min to boat launch and surf beach, 1 hour to Volcanoes National Park.
