About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Sunrise/Sunset is a two-unit beachfront duplex located at 133 Miramar Drive in Mexico Beach, Florida. Positioned approximately 30 miles east of Panama City on US Hwy 98, Mexico Beach is known as the 'The Forgotten Coast' and offers a small quiet beach community with some of the cleanest and safest beaches in Florida. The area offers one of the few unspoiled beaches in the Florida Panhandle and provides a variety of activities for the whole family. The sandy white beaches are perfect for long walks and the area is free of the noise and congestion found in many other beachfront areas along the Panhandle. You can fish from the city pier or from one of the many locally available charter boats --fishing is exceptional in these waters-- or visit one of the many nearby snorkeling and shelling destinations. There is plenty of marine life to view such as dolphins, stingray, sea turtle nests, and the ever-popular sand crabs to hunt at night.

Sunrise/Sunset is located at the end of Miramar Drive, directly on the Gulf and next to the Mexico Beach canal. The location is very private and allows you to relax and enjoy the unhurried pace... the way the beach is supposed to be! Enjoy from this beachfront house the beautiful Forgotten Coast sunsets, sugar-white beaches, and the boats that come in and out of the canal. Walk out the door, down a short sandy, private path through the sea oats to the beach. It is walking distance to Mexico Beach’s pier, marina, shops and restaurants. The unit perfect for families who want to relax, have the comforts of home, stay in town, but enjoy privacy. It is kid friendly and kid safe at the end of the street.

The 1000 square foot Gulf front, non-smoking unit has a screened porch that overlooks the beach. The unit includes a combination living, kitchen, and dining area. One of the two bedrooms has two full size beds with bath. The other bedroom has a queen size bed and the bath is located in the hallway. The floor is covered with terrazzo tile throughout the unit, is fully furnished, and has been updated with a well-equipped kitchen. The unit includes a laundry room.

You can't get closer to the beach than this ground level, beachfront house. Come for a visit! There's nothing quite like walking barefoot from the house to the water. You’ll be glad you did!!!!!!

Please note this is a duplex. The calendar is marked 'Booked' only if both units are rented. Please inquire for all other dates.

About Geraldine Hankla

I owned a Condominium in Seagrove Beach, Florida. While it was beautiful there, it has become very crowded and I did not enjoy sharing my conversations with the neighbors on the beach. I came to Mexico Beach because I love the relaxed atmosphere, and the uncrowned, beautiful beaches the Forgotten Coast offers. You can’t get much closer to Paradise.

Why Geraldine Hankla chose Mexico Beach

Great Beachfront Location! Beautiful views and dynamic wide sugar-sand beaches........

Great place!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Geri's beach house. It was very clean and had all the comforts of home. We were able to relax and spend quality family time together. We mainly cooked there and loved the water being only a short walk from the house. It is absolutely beautiful at night out on the beach! Our favorite thing was the screened in back porch. You can hear the waves from the porch!!!

My family has been vacating in Mexico Beach for several years and this has to be one of our favorite places to stay. We loved the screened in porch and all the grass space for the kids to play after along day at the beach. The ONLY fault we could find was the quality of sheets on the beds. It felt as if we were sleeping in a bed of sand. I would also agree with adding an additional grill. We waiting nearly 2 hours one night to use the grill. I finally cooked our hamburgers on the stove. I would recommend this duplex to my friends and family. Mrs. Geraldine was wonderful to work with.

Owner's Response: So sorry for the wait at the grill. I will take your recommendation for consideration and get a second grill. Thanks for your comments. I strive to have a neat, clean well kept and decorated home and believe it is s great valve for the money. Thanks. Gerri.

Beautiful home

  • 4 of 5

The home was spotless! Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beach. I would suggest getting a grill for both units. It was truly right on the beach next to the canal. Downside was that the city dredged the canal for 3 of the 7 days we stayed. The owner has no control over this, but it would certainly have been nice not to have to smell the nasty water coming out of the canal right where we were staying. It is a beautiful place, spacious, well stocked with essentials and very much enjoyed the stay and the privacy.

Great Condo

  • 4 of 5

Our family Loved this Condo, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The screened in back porch with the view of the beach was a great place for morning coffee and relaxing. This was our first trip to Mexico Beach and it exceeded our expectations! The beaches were clean, the sand was white and cool, we found lots of nice sized shells and sand dollars, saw starfish and stingrays and lots of crabs in evening. We certainly will visit again!

We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for five adults. The duplex was clean and having a washer and dryer was really nice. It was an easy walk to the beach and we enjoyed watching all the boats go in and out of the canal. We did lots of fishing, walking, kite flying, and hunting for crabs at night. Our end the of beach was very quiet. We saw lots of sting rays and that was really cool!!!! The house is close to stores and easy to find. I would recommend this home to anyone. We plan on going back and taking more of the family. Next time we will rent both sides of duplex.
