Available January 2012 - new construction. 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Old Snowmass on the bus line! Bedroom 1: King size bed; Bedroom 2: Queen size bed; Bedroom 3: bunk bed with full on bottom and twin on top. Huge back yard and lovely deck complete with gas grill. Perfect lodging for your ski vacation, a quick 14 miles to Snowmass Ski area or 16 miles to Aspen. Fish the roaring fork across the street or the frying pan in Basalt, 1.5 miles away. The Rio Grande trail is through our yard next door or up a trail along the highway around our house, it's groomed for cross country in the winter , biking and hiking in the summer, and connects Glenwood Springs to Aspen with a paved biking trail. Right on Highway 82 which is kept clear of snow, so don't worry about winter driving if you have a small car. Plenty of parking. Take the bus to ski and go out on the town and let the bus be your designated driver -- bus stop is less than a one minute walk.

Owner info

Year Purchased: 2010

About the owner: My husband and I are computer consultants and you might run into us in and around Aspen working in the stores and restaurants. We moved to the Roaring Fork Valley from Oklahoma 12 years ago, and love snowboarding and skiing, camping, fishing and biking. We have a black lab named Sneaky who loves to make friends and hike.

Why the Owner Chose Snowmass, CO, USA:
When the house next door went up for sale, we jumped at the chance to own a house where our family can spend time with us without being crammed in our already overfilled home. We have two little boys who love to see their grandparents as often as they can!

The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love being on the bus line! You never have to worry about the weather or finding a parking place in Aspen. And the bus drops you off right at the slopes, so you don't have to bring driving shoes! In the summer you can jump on the Rio Grande Trail and ride your bike and then bus it back home. The Rio Grande is groomed for cross country when there's snow - I love to go as far as I can up hill and turn around and glide back home. There's a great fishing hole across the street and boat ramp access is about 1/4 a mile away. Glenwood Springs is 25 miles down valley and we love to explore the graveyard where Doc Holliday is buried... or is he? The hot springs are fun for all ages and are open all year.
