Why David Jensen chose Joshua Tree
Our friends and family are frequent visitors and always enjoy their stay in our guest cottage. We decided to open our doors to other guests and enjoy the diversity of the people who are drawn to the beauty of the desert.
What makes this Cottage unique
Joshua Tree National Park is the major attraction in the area. Downtown JT has small unique shops, galleries, and restaurants. Palm Springs and all its attractions are a short drive, about 35 miles, down the highway. A bit further is the Cabazon Outlet Mall and Casino. Big Bear resort area is an easy day trip for those who enjoy mountain outings.

Staying at the cottage enhanced our stay at JT!
This was my first time to stay at David and Patti Jensen's cottage in Joshua Tree. I have to say that staying at the cottage enhanced our stay! The cottage was cozy, comfortable and very clean. We had everything we needed. Plus its proximity to JT Park was very convenient. David is the ultimate host!! He is very responsive, helpful and gracious. He made every effort to accommodate our needs. I will definitely come back to stay at the Jensen cottage when visiting Joshua Tree in the future.
This comfortable cottage is equipped with everything one would need, including coffee beans, body lotion. No detail is overlooked. Great local info in the cottage and super helpful hosts.
Fantastic cottage thats very clean, private and affordable!
Enjoyed our stay in David and Patti's cottage. Close to park and town. Well stocked kitchen! Very affordable!
All the comforts of home just outside Joshua Tree National Park
I must say our visit to Joshua Tree was so amazing to witness a desert in bloom. We did not want to leave the park, however the proximity of this charming cottage allowed us to come "home" (and it does feel like home), rest a bit and go back out.
David provided a good collection of guide books and trail maps to get us on our way and a cooler so that we could pack a lunch for our foray into the natural world.
Back at the cottage, there is a lovely enclosed patio for relaxing with a glass of wine under a crisp night sky filled with stars, and a screened in porch for watching the sunrise or enjoying wildlife.
It's a gem
The hospitality was great, the cottage was well-stocked and the thoughtful touches, like the picnic cooler and ice packs, the dvd and book collections and -- especially -- the beautiful art, were lovely. We really appreciated the quiet location as well as its being close to the park and to other places in the area like 29 Palms, Yucca Valley shopping, etc. David and Patti are knowledgeable and helpful hosts -- as we only had a week to explore, it was great to have access to in-depth local knowledge.
A perfect location, a great home to return to every evening!
This little home was immaculately clean. The kitchen was more than adequately stocked. All the guide books and information on Joshua tree readily available. A delightfully stocked library of novels.... we were all set!
Knowing the owners were right next-door if we needed them was great even though we had no need for anything.
This was a great choice for us to stay for the four days of hiking in Joshua tree. We can certainly recommend it.
Less then 2 miles to the west entrance gate to Joshua Tree National Park.
