There are 2 different rental rates. $1283/week for spring/fall (April/May or Sept/Oct) or $1750 for summer (June-August). Each rate includes the $125 cleaning fee, taxes and a $100 damage/security fee, refundable when the property is left in good condition. The damage/security fee + 1/2 the weekly rate is required as a deposit to hold the house for rental. Our rental week runs from Saturday to Saturday. The house is usually not available during winter months. There is no heat upstairs. There is a fireplace but it is not available for use. The downstairs has only 3 small gas space heaters.

Pawleys Island is located between Myrtle Beach and Charleston, which host a variety of activities. Included in the Pawleys area are a number of golf courses; Huntington Beach State Park, nature/history-related sites; Brookgreen Gardens, a large outdoor sculpture/ botanical area that includes a zoological park/aviary; plantation tours, river tours, deep-sea fishing trips and shopping. The beach is within walking distance of the rental property and there is always plenty of space for spreading out. Hobcaw Barony, part-time home of Bernard Baruch, advisor to several former Presidents, is featured in a 3 hour long tour, highlighting the history and wildlife of the area. You will never be bored when you visit Pawleys Island!

About the owner: My brother, sister and I grew up in Log-Inn. It is not your typical 'beach rental' but a real family home. My brother and I still live in the Pawleys area, across the creek from Log-Inn. Our father was a forester who brought us up to love and respect nature and we have encouraged our children and grandchildren to follow in those footsteps. We have family gatherings at Log-Inn whenever we can and enjoy continuing the traditions passed on to us by our parents.
Why the Owner Chose Pawleys Island, SC, USA:
Log-Inn was not purchased, but built by my grandfather and a contractor who was a close friend of my father. It was one of the first year-round homes in the Birds Nest section of the Island and was completed in 1947, when Pawleys was truly a 'paradise'.

We get together with family as often as possible and simply enjoy being in the house we grew up in, reliving old memories while creating new ones. Crabbing, fishing, playing in the creek or beach-combing and surfing (those younger than us) are favorite activities.
