Beautiful house with the best beach on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! House is beautiful and very well maintained and stocked. Great yard to spread out for games and night time fires. Now the best part, you are on some of the best sand on Pelican Lake. Great beach with incredible, shallow, gradual water level that goes out for hundreds of feet! Great for those that enjoy playing in the water or little ones, no worries! Then if that is not enough, there is another small lake across the road that has fish and turtles! Kids loved fishing from the dock and paddle boat. We brought up our boat and kept it on Pelican. Great fishing and exploring. Dean and Jackie are great hosts and can answer any questions you may have. We loved our stay and will be back!!!!

Best beach vacation

  • 5 of 5

Dean and Jackie are so kind and they make sure that your experience is everything that you dreamed it would be. The cabin/house has tons of room and is perfectly clean. My family had an amazing week there. The private beach is picture perfect. We spent a ton of time there swimming, floating, drone flying, and playing in the sand. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back on a future vacation. Thank you for everything!

Highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 8 adults had plenty of room in this nicely equipped and updated cabin. We pontooned on Pelican, kayaked on Stevens, biked between Pequot Lakes and Nisswa, and walked enough to meet some friendly neighbors. The setting is exceptional, situated between two lakes, with two campfire spots, and two wonderful porches on the east and west. Great communication with owners. Highly recommended.

Wonderful beach, clean, like-new spacious cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the Tenney's beautiful cabin mid-June 2017 with our two kids (3yo and <1yo), and we also invited the grandparents up to join us as well. The cabin was extremely clean when we arrived, and the pictures don't do it justice. It still feels brand new. It felt very spacious and comfortable for our family + grandparents during our stay. Having central AC was amazing, and helped us sleep more comfortably. The kitchen was well-appointed..even a gas stove, and an extra fridge in the garage as well.

There is only basic cable, but we spent all day and night outside with all of the great options (two lakes, a beautiful beach, a fishing lake, paddle boat, row boat, two bonfire pits, etc), so TV wasn't necessary (we did bring a few DVDs for backup).

I was worried about the distance from the house to the beach with all of the things we need with two little kids, but the owners supplied a nice big cart that we used to haul things back and forth. The beach was wonderful. My 3yo loves playing in the sand, so he was in heaven. There are absolutely no weeds, only a few rocks in the shallow water. The water stays shallow for what seems like 100 yds, before it drops's one of the best things about this lake. They also have some beautiful adirondack chairs that they leave on the beach as well. Between the adirondack and lounge chairs there was probably seating on the beach for 8-9 people.

After dinner we spent most of our evenings by the bonfire hanging out and cooking s'mores. They supplied firewood and a few roasting sticks.

The owners were very friendly and greeted us upon arrival to show us the ropes. We contacted them once during our stay when we ran out of propane and they were very responsive, getting us a replacement tank right away. They clearly show pride in ownership of this property. We had a fabulous time and I'm hoping we'll have a chance to come back again soon. Thanks for having us!

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin, very clean, and newer updates! We had 6 adults and 2 children, there was plenty of room to spread out and the sandy beach was ideal for everyone! If you love to fish you will have to rent a boat...we rented from Breezy and rode down to cabin for lunch and a break! Thanks for everything!

Great Memories Made!!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here along with our friend and their family, there was a total of 4 adults and 5 kids. The cabin itself is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. There was plenty of room for all. My favorite was the beach perfect for kids, shallow and sandy:) The owners could not have been more kind or helpful!

Owner's Response: Hi Katie, Thanks for the very nice note. It was great meeting you Anthony and your boys during your stay. If it works for you in the future it would be very nice if you could join us again at the lake. Take care, Dean and Jackie

Very clear water which offers great visibility for snorkeling to check out the fish along the dropoff area at our beach.
