We have a wonderful home, immaculate and very comfortable. Brand new hard wood floors, granite counter tops, wine fridge, lush bedding, high speed internet and cable TV are a few of the 'must haves' that will make you glad you came to stay. This home also has 36 solar panels which take full advantage of the San Diego sun.
Enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather as you relax by our pool or at our huge outdoor sports bar. There's plenty of space for the whole family to hang out or catch a game on the 42' flat screen. The fire pit offers a warm place to regroup at night and discuss the days memories.

Approximately 6 min to the San Diego Airport, 10 min to Sea World, Old Town, or Mission Bay. 15 min to La Jolla, 20 min to Del Mar Race Track. 25 min to Lego land, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Anza Borrego desert/mountain open areas and several casinos.

This home was a wonderful escape. It has taken me a while to write my review due to my schedule, but I finally got around to making it happen. It is an amazing property that wows. The outdoor space is unbelievably beautiful, and the house is spacious, and equally as beautiful. I loved the master bath. The location is incredible. I was looking for a luxurious place that would offer a private, relaxing environment. It did not disappoint. It felt secluded, but was close to amazing restaurants, activities and amenities. The owners are a pleasure to deal with!
I stayed with my Wife, my 8 year old Daughter, and my 11 year old Son and from beginning to end our experience at this property could not have been better. The owners were especially accommodating and went out of their way to ensure that we not only had everything we needed, but also provided us with suggestions for area hotspots for dining and entertainment. The kids LOVED the property! The chickens and the turtle were an added bonus for the kids. We made breakfast each morning with "real" farm fresh eggs. We twice made wood fired pizzas in the oven. The fire pit was great on a cool evening and the small pool was just right when you needed to cool off. There is also a gas grill opposite the wood fired oven, a bar outside, and a beautiful long table for outdoor dining. As for the location itself, it is very easy to get in and out of and has quick access to freeways. It is only minutes from the airport which is also nice. The gas lamp district and downtown are about 10-15 mins away and beaches are easy to get to. The inside is spacious and modern. There is also a small driveway for parking which was also nice. I have nothing derogatory to say. We had a great time and would return. Further, I got my deposit back promptly and did not have to ask for it. This is a great place to bring a small family where you can truly enjoy all of the extra amenities this property has that you can't find elsewhere.
My husband and I recently enjoyed a "staycation" at this beautiful home. The property was amazing the location is incredible and the owners were super easy to work with. I highly recommend this house to anyone.
My family and I stayed here last month. Everyone had a great time. The home is very well cared for, the owners were extremely easy to work with and helpful. Our children loved the chickens and the tortoise. My husband enjoyed the grilling station and I was in heaven with the master bathroom. I'm not sure why they don't have a picture of it but I can assure you it is stunning. 2 person walk in shower, deep soaking tub and even a flat screen tv! I was a little hesitant because I read a couple reviews that spoke of an additional unit on the property. There is a small unit located on the back side of the property above the garage but it is in no way intrusive, in fact we found the next door neighbors home to be closer than the back unit. There was a nice single gal who was staying there for a few days but we never saw or heard her, the only way we even knew she was there was after a chance meeting on the golf course. Over all this house is perfect for families that want to be in the heart of San Diego with out being in the noisy Gas Lamp area.
We stayed 10 days at the property during the summer. The location is ideal, close to everything and a short hike away from Balboa Park. The owners are nice and friendly, the place is clean and functional. Now there are two important things you need to know about the house: 1. Besides the chicken (quiet) there were other pets outside: a tortoise in the front yard and cats in the back yard. If you have allergies forget about enjoying the outdoor sofas, the cats love them. 2. This house actually has a partial second story above the garage and master bedroom which is another rented unit. So privacy is very questionable since above tenants will go up and down the stairs that overlook the backyard. But the biggest problem for us was step noise above the master bedroom. Upstairs tenants were early birds and woke us up every single morning they were here. I know I'm sensitive to noise, to give an example there is also a DVR in this bedroom and the humm of the fan and hard drive bothered me as well in the first couple nights. So everyone is different but at minimum I would have expected the upstairs unit to be in the description. Specially when it says 'private' We would never have put that much money to rent the place had we known about this. We offered to leave a couple days early with refund but the owners only offered to ask upstairs tenants to make less noise. They were a very quiet senior couple, apart from asking them to hoover above the floor there was not much those people could do.
