Guestbook comments from the manager

As a part of a graduation group, my experience with the management company and the owner was awesome!!!! They were friendly and very fair which we appreciate because most people won't even rent to students. The house was perfect for our group, we had a great week at the beach with friends and the whole process was hassle free. Thanks for everything - Our families will be back!!!!!

Students DO NOT RENT this property

  • 1 of 5

if you are a student looking for property in SC stay away from this owner. Our student group had issues with their deposit. I repeat do not rent property because your deposit might be in jeopardy.

Owner's Response: Let me clarify: First - this person used a false email to leave this review as they would have been flagged for using their true information based on threats of bad reviews. Secondly - the person complaining is a parent of a student group who was not present once during the week that the students stayed. To be very clear, she is accusing the manager of charging the group excessively for the following items: Grill cleaning, bedding sent to cleaners with a three hour turn around time ( three comforters and mattress pad) and excessive trash picked up and hauled to landfill (8 large hefty bags, broken beach umbrella, and several beach items broken or left for trash). The total charge for these issues was $145. This person believes that the charges were excessive and unfair. I would like to address this first. The average charge for most vacation management companies in the area for trash removal is $25 -$50 per bag and upwards of $100 per bedspread to be cleaned and returned in three hours. That being the case - the bill from other management companies would have been close to $800 - $1000. The most important issue to note was that all rules and policies were relayed to the group at the time of check-in. The manager was very clear to each of the students that they were to clean after themselves and leave the property as they found it. They were told of any fees that they may incur upon checkout as well. The group agreed that they understood all expectations and commented that the house was great upon their check-in inspection. The group had a great week with no problems and did not contact the manager with any issues or problems whatsoever. There were zero complaints from any of the students of the group and there was never any mention of an issue until the deposit was returned and fees assessed. At this point the person presented a letter stating that the kids did not know about these fees, that they were unfair and if we did not refund them she would "hate to have to leave bad reviews on websites". In short - we shared the policies with the group in writing and verbally. They agreed. They had a few minor issues to correct upon their check-out. We corrected them for a minimal fee of $145. One person of 24 people didn't agree and chose to lash out with derogatory comments. Over 600 students/parents have rented this home for senior week. 1 of 600 has called us unfair. We will let you judge for yourself.

Grand Strand Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This vacation cottage was perfect for us. It was decorated nicely and was very comfortable. We loved being able to bring our little dog. The house was conviently located just a short walk to the beach and a short ride to the grocery store. The property manager was great to work with and very responsive Thanks for a wonderful week. We look forward to next time.

Cute House

  • 5 of 5

We came in late (up in the am) Thurs. night and left on Monday morning. Alisha was great to work with.

There was some dust bunnies under the beds and couch....but other than complaints. Loved the location. Quiet but yet close to the beach. We took our golf cart to carry chairs and coolers and walked ourselves. Straight ahead was the beach access and parking for the cart. Great for 1 or 2 families. Only 2 baths or it would accommodate 3 families. However there is enough sleeping for 3 families. Would recommend.

Great Week!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay! My wife's parents are elderly so the one level living and close proximity to the beach was great. Renovations and decorations were all done well. Would defintely stay in this house again, however please note comments below:

House has 3 queen beds and 2 double vs 5 queen as add says.

No barbeque grill

You will want to bring your own chairs for sitting outside as none are provided.

Property Management somewhat unresponsive to our request for missing items (blender and clothes hangers) The cloth hangar request may seem strange, but two of the bedrooms did have have storage space for clothing.
