New, 3BR, 2 Bath, Sleeps 8, Families Welcome
Welcome to Leaf and Needle!
This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a California king bed; the second bedroom has two bunk beds (one with a trundle); and the third bedroom has a queen bed. It easily accommodates our family of 4 and my brother's family of 4 as we enjoy spending quality time together in the mountains. The living room hide-a-bed allows guests to spread out. We provide clean towels and clean sheets on all the beds, with additional linens in closets if needed.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes, pots, pans, mini crock-pot and more. We host Thanksgiving dinner here for our family, and find that the kitchen bar makes serving easy and convenient.
The living room opens up to the kitchen, letting the food preparer be a part of the group social scene. Entertainment in the living room includes a 33 inch TV with Bluray/DVD player that streams Netflix. As we usually come to the mountains for a bit of escape, we do not have TV service. If you just want to curl up on the couch, the wood burning stove offers a cozy atmosphere.
If the weather is nice outside, a large picnic table on the deck in the backyard provides a convenient place to eat. A charcoal BBQ is on the deck for grilling summer fare.
Leaf and Needle is less than one mile from The Village and the lake. There are many restaurants and shops in The Village, as well as two movie theaters. Holloway's Marina at the lake offers fishing licenses and boat rentals. The trailhead to Pine Knot trail is a five minute walk from the house. Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain, with it's snow play /inner-tube slope, water slide, miniature golf and bobsled slide is less than a half a mile away.
Please call if you have more detailed questions about what is available at Leaf and Needle. We hope you will come stay and make wonderful memories.

About Laura Wong
Our family of four enjoys discovering new places, sharing our favorites, and playing games. The bobsled at the Alpine Sled is a definite new favorite!
Laura Wong purchased this House in 2010
Why Laura Wong chose Big Bear Lake
Big Bear Lake is a 2 hour drive from our home and is beautiful all year. In the fall the leaves turn red and gold, in winter the snow brings snowball fights, sledding, skiing, and snowboarding. In the spring, the tulips and daffodils bloom and the trees begin to wake up. Summer completes the year as we hike, swim and continue to enjoy nature. With the convenience of restaurants, shopping, and movie theaters, Big Bear is an ideal vacation get away that isn't too far away.
What makes this House unique
We love to sit on the porch swing on our front deck and listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. When it is cold, there is nothing like cuddling up in front of the wood burning stove sipping hot chocolate.

Amazing Family Weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Big Bear! Laura was a great host and was available whenever we needed her. The house was stocked with everything we needed and we felt so comfortable there. My favorite part was that is was so family friendly. It’s close to all local attractions. The perfect home away from home. We can’t wait to return!
A wonderful cabin for a fun family adventure!
Another wonderful stay at this cabin. Our family of 8 looks forward to it every year! Great location - walking distance to a park with a great hike or for snow play, walking distance to Alpine Slide and a very short drive to the village. Feels like home. Thank you!
Amazing family winter vacation!!!
My family of 8 had an amazing time. The house was well equipped to accommodate all of us. Everything was close by. We look forward to going back.
Felt like home!
We came up here in January 2018 for a short family vacation. The property itself was immaculate, well-heated, and well-stocked with towels, sheets, dishes and kitchenware. There are even toys and books for young children. Spacious for our party of 4 adults and 2 kids, plus the kitchen/family room area had an ideal set up for family socializing.
Also, this property was very convenient to local activities - skiing, snowboarding and sledding/tubing facilities are only about 10-20 minutes away, depending on to which one you're going and traffic flow. The restaurants and shops on Big Bear Lake Boulevard are about 5 minutes away. Ski/snowboarding rentals are close by as well.
Finally, throughout the rental process, the owner was very approachable and responsive to our questions. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come here again!
Great place. Very clean and tidy.

Our two family get away!
Good size cabin for 4 adults with 2 kids. We were really happy that there were items for our 2 year old to play with. Very glad we chose this cabin for our trip. We will hopefully return for further trips.
