Secluded waterfront vacation rental outside of St. Michaels.
A charming historic farmhouse and updated barn with a rustic soul and luxury finishes are the perfect spot for your vacation on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
Surrounded by water and farmland, Jane Lowe estate is a very private property that will comfortably sleep 12+ guests. The 3,500-square-foot barn and 2,100-square-foot historic farmhouse are situated on a six-acre stretch on the banks of Harris Creek, nestled between St. Michaels and Tilghman Island.
Discover the serenity of the Chesapeake Bay, watching blue herons, bald eagles and osprey from your front window. Lounge by the 50-ft swimming pool (open until the end of September), fish, crab or sun from the floating dock, kayak, play lawn games and watch the sun set from a private beach.
The houses have everything you need: areas to lounge, nooks to read, a massive game room with a pool table, foosball table, poker table, bar, other casino games and board games. It's easy to eat, drink and entertain with the help of a professional wolf stove and flattop, barbecues, patios, balconies and a sun room.
If you venture out, lovely St. Michaels and the surrounding areas have so much to explore.

Well Deserved Five Stars!
Wonderful property = wonderful vacation! Thirteen of us through 3 generations enjoyed a terrific time at Jane Lowe Estate. We rented a boat for fishing and touring the waterways, happy to tie up at the beautiful new dock. Kids especially loved the pool and game room. Cooking was fun in the well equipped kitchens, and I managed to master the vintage stove. First floor bed and bath in the barn worked well for my disabled husband. House and barn are CLEAN and very welcoming. Heather is super and easy going to work with. Yes, the cell service was spotty except for Verizon customers, and wifi is slow, but most of us did not plan to work while on vacation. St. Michael's is just a few minutes up the road for supplies or just browsing. All in all a highly recommended spot for a special family get together.
Wonderful getaway - so peaceful.
From start to finish, the owners were attentive and helpful. They even left a gift basket out for us when we arrived. The houses easily accommodated all 14 of us (big and small). Upper level in the barn could've used some freshening up but besides that, the houses were very clean. Pool and kayaks were awesome!! Only problem we had was the internet service was really bad and some of us had to work.
A wonderful stay!
We had 6 families (5 with young kids) split between the two houses. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was great since it got quite hot for June. We had minor issues with the gas grills which were fixed with one phone call - Heather was quite responsive!
The barn is newer, and has central air, and can be kept quite cold despite the summer heat. The farmhouse has window units and it's a little tougher to control temperature. Despite that, I wouldn't trade the view upon waking up in the master of the farmhouse for a slightly better temperature control.
One minor thing is that if you need to do heavy internet-based work the satellite internet can be quite spotty. This didn't bother us much since we just needed to send emails but any intensive video downloading or other high-bandwidth activities probably won't work so well. That being said, it's a vacation! Put the phones and laptops away and go out for a kayak!
Breath taking property with tons of activities to do.
Heather was easy to work with and ensures a lot of trust into her guests by leaving items like kayaks at the property for everyone to enjoy. It was the perfect place for our weekend stay.
Fantastic long weekend getaway
We were three very happy families (6 adults and 8 children)! We loved all of the activities - kayaking, pool, game room, acreage for roaming, beach, dock for fishing and chilling out on the water, and on and on. The barn and farmhouse were charming and clean. We loved it so much we already discussed making it to the Jane Lowe estate again next spring. Highly recommend.
Great property. Could not ask for more. Highly highly recommend
Great property, great ownership, great amenities (including everything from restaurant-grade kitchen to kayaks). Could not recommend enough.
Relax at the estate, where you can watch the sunset from the dock or beach, swim in the expansive pool, kayak, play lawn games or barbecue. In historic St. Michaels, a 10 minute drive away, you'll find a collection of charming shops and restaurants, boating activities, a brewery, winery and art galleries.
