We are a profession couple who love to cycle, travel and entertain.
The Owner purchased this estate in 2006
We came up to Healdsburg to celebrate my birthday and rented a property in Dry Creek for the weekend. We fell in love with the valley and its proximity to town. On a walk we saw a for sale sign on this property and ended up owning a vineyard and this wonderful home. We are only 70 minutes from our home in the city and love to come for an overnight or stay for 2 weeks.
Being here at the property is the complete wine country experience. This is a valley where many of the residents and wineries are still owned by the descendants of the original settlers. The town of Healdsburg while becoming upscale over the past few years still hold quite a bit of charm
Imagine driving along a beautiful road. You turn left along the estate's private vineyard- anticipation building. You round the bend to the front drive and you find yourself breathless as you approach this lovely home. Walking into the beautiful foyer lined both sides with French Doors, you will find yourself looking out at the grounds of the estate. On one end of the foyer is an elegant living room and on the other end is a spectacular great room/grand kitchen that leads to the pool and jacuzzi. You find yourself immersed in wonderful art, a wide variety of books and warmth throughout. The stylish proprietors truly understand hospitality with exceptional touches from luxurious linens to a well-equipped kitchen. This home is not only stunning it is filled with warmth.
This is a place for unforgettable memories with family reunions or your closest friends. The owner's make sure of that. Being in the hospitality business, I had the privilege to stay in some of the finest hotels as well as other lovely homes. Without a doubt this was one of the best experiences enhancing an extraordinarily important event for my mom's 90th Birthday and a reunion with family who came from New York and abroad.
My favorite memories during this visit- Watching everyone’s reaction when they first arrived. Closing my eyes and listening to my family’s chaos of cooking, laughing, and drinking wine. Having endless cups of coffee on the big dining table overlooking the pool. Walking among trees with olives, figs, apples, pears, and oranges. My 90-year old mom was like a young girl picking fruits and gleefully eating them. Napping on the hammock by the creek and listening to the birds while family was picking wild watercress for our salad at dinner.
At the end we tried to console ourselves with the possibility of returning. I am so happy I got to experience a week of sheer joy together with my family in a week we will never forget.
I have to say- this is one of the most fantastic/ beautiful/ relaxing places to stay in the Russian River/ Dry Creek wineries areas- and we have stayed in several. The house and grounds are beautiful. All of us said while we were staying there- I feel like Scarlett O'Hare and Rhett Butler at Tara!! The owners are more than willing to help everyone enjoy their their stay at their palace, as we called it. Unfortunately- the weekend we stayed at their house- it was also the monsoon weekend in California!! But still- we were able go get out when the rains gave up for a few minutes and enjoy the beautiful landscaping of their house and surrounding vineyards. Really- the house is fantastic and the outside areas are really relaxing. Perfect place for a get away.
Needless to say- it was the perfect getaway for us. We will be back.
This spectacular estate was our home for our son's wedding weekend. Rehearsal dinner under the wisteria covered pergola was magical. Driving down the long driveway, surrounded by vineyards gives you just a taste of what is to come when you arrive at the home. The gardens are lush with the most well manicured lawns, shrubs, flowers, rose & lavender gardens imaginable. With such a lovely home we wanted to share it with others so we had a morning after brunch. A perfect yard for entertaining or to just enjoy the peaceful tranquility. Would love to come back and spend a few days so we could spend time enjoying Healdsburg, bike riding and all the other things the area has to offer. The owners were extremely helpful and worked with us to make our son's wedding weekend such a memorable event.
This is a lovely home set amidst beautiful, well kept grounds. We particularly enjoyed the pool and nearby Dry Creek. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The surrounding vinyards are tranquil and lovely, giving the impression the property is remote. However it is only a few minutes from Healdsburg and from many wineries. We enjoyed our stay a great deal.
Though the pictures give one the general idea that the property is beautiful, we were absolutely taken aback when we arrived. It's magical. My family and I had the most wonderful five days and would come stay again in a heartbeat!
Our family (including dog) just returned from this beautiful spot in Healdsburg. The grounds are exceptionally "awesome" (as my son says)! Beautiful trees and flowers surround an idyllic home where we enjoyed every moment of being outside and then inside too. The creek was a blast. The current and proximity to the house made it a special adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful days and nights - especially the gracious kitchen space and it's immediacy to the outdoors. Pool and hot tub were clean and big and great. Even the location to town made it s great running opportunity for our family. We hope to make it a habit of visiting Healdsburg and staying here.
