Oceanfront! Condo, 2 Bedrooms plus sleep sofa, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Anderson Ocean Club # 2003 on the 20th floor is a little jewel on the strip! Both the Master and 2nd bedrooms have private balconies overlooking the ocean. Perfect sunrise views. The ocean can be seen from the living room, dining room and kitchen! The decor is warm and inviting and of course with the ocean always in your sights it is very peaceful.

The Master Bedroom has a king sized bed with a larger private balcony and a private bathroom. The Second Bedroom has two queen sized beds and a bathroom in the foyer which is close by. All bedrooms have flat screen, high definition televisions with remote controls.

There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances, granite countertops, with pots and pans, dishes, glassware and silverware.

The living room is comfortable, with plenty of seating, and a large flat screen high definition television, and a dvd player.

The dining table seats 6.

The balcony opening from the living room is spacious and outfitted with comfortable deck chairs all overlooking the strip and the ocean.

Beach Walks, Shelling, walking the strip, Broadway at the Beach, Magnolias Restaurant across the street. The Awakenings Spa is incredible, and the fitness center is fully equipped with all machines for a great workout.

The Anderson Ocean Club is a resort with room service, a full service spa, nail and hair salon, fitness center, business center (computers provided), a martini bar (seasonal) and in March, a Starbucks coffee bar in the lobby. The indoor pools and hot tub are open all year, and the outdoor pools, hot tubs and lazy river are open seasonally.

Million dollar view, little things detracted from stay

I'd give it 3.5 stars, but that is not one of the choices.

Pros: Beautiful view. Unit was plenty large. Facility employees were friendly. The pool area, small outdoor bar, and fitness room were all nice. The free DVD rentals were nice. The unit was reasonably clean. TVs and beds were good.

Cons: There were a number of little things that prospective renters should know, in order to have a better time:

Supplies: The unit had no coffee, no ice in the freezer, no shampoo or shower supplies, and no laundry detergent. Included amenities consisted of two small bars of soap. Almost every condo I've ever rented included these items.

The parking is advertised as "across the street". It's not across the street. There is a city block between the facility and the parking structure. Getting something out of your car takes about a half hour.

Renters should know that checkout is 10 AM, which some might not consider reasonable. Getting a family of four up, fed with breakfast, packed, dressed, showered, fridge cleared, garbage taken out, dishwasher run (all expectations of guests) and out the door by 10 on a Sunday is not fun. There is no time to do much of anything that last morning except hustle out the door.

In short, it was good, but for over $300 per night I would expect to feel a little more like a welcome guest and less like an annoyance.
