Great Property, As Advertised

  • 5 of 5

Our group of four mature women stayed at this property for two nights in May. Great property, nice location. House was clean and exactly what we expected from the advertised photos. Stairs to the second for are a little steep. We particularly loved the back deck! A little noisy out front, since traffic from closed bridge was detoured onto this street. Cindy was a pleasure to work with. Should we return to the area, this will definitely be the property we rent!

Very comfortable and well equiped cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were in RI for my daughter's college graduation for the weekend and this was an ideal location. It offered all of the amenities of home instead of staying in a hotel. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen appeared to have everything you needed for cooking meals or entertaining. The upstairs bedroom was very spacious and an enjoyable room to relax in. The front porch and back deck were a nice addition in having outdoor space. The notebook of instructions and local information was very helpful and complete. We have rented summer cottages in NJ for over 30 years and this was by far one of the better summer houses we have rented. A special bonus is having bed and bath linens provided, that is a luxury of not having to provide your own! We're unfamiliar with RI beaches so I can't comment on them or their proximity.

A Great Find Near Newport

  • 5 of 5

As a small group of five seasoned house renters, we felt really lucky to find this comfortable and cozy home fairly last minute for our (mostly) annual trip to Newport's Seafood Festival weekend. This house was a gem and had everything we were looking for, including close proximity to restaurants, shops, the water and only minutes away from downtown Newport over the spectacular Newport bridge.

With a very private back yard, spacious front porch and comfy living area, this was a great place to come back to and relax after a long day. The house was nicely decorated and comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere and has everything you would need for a perfect stay. We loved the layout as well , plenty of space for gathering in the main living areas, but with both bedrooms privately situated and on different floors - and each with their own bathrooms.

The village of Wickford just down the road is a very charming town that was fun to explore Thanks Cindy, we look forward to returning again!

Loved this home

  • 4 of 5

Our annual vacation with our best friends was perfect in this sweet and charming home. They came from VA and we flew in from OK. Stayed six nights (only scheduled five but wanted to stay an additional night and, of course, Cindy was so accommodating)! The house was clean and well stocked and Cindy even provided us with a large crock pot we requested. Loved the porch and patio. Grilled dinner outside and cooked several meals inside. The town of Wickford was charming and a nice place to take a stroll. Also close to so many great sights, we went to Newport and toured mansions, went to Providence and did the Riverboat tour, took the hy-speed ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket (a must) and visited Mystic, Connecticut. So nice to come "home" from each day's adventure to a cozy, clean home. We would HIGHLY recommend this property!!

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

Our son is attending the Naval Academy Prep School in Newport. We rented the house for parents weekend. The house was PERFECT. This was the first time since July that he was allowed to be off base overnight and we wanted him to have a weekend that was as normal and as close to being 'at home' as possible. The house was immaculate. There was plenty of room for our family and the kitchen had all you could ever need to prepare meals. It was very clean and comfortable. Cindy, the owner was so accommodating. We drove 8 hours through the night and had a cooler full of our son's favorite foods. She allowed us to drop the food off to put in the refrigerator well before check in time. The location was 15 minutes from Naval Station Newport. The ONLY thing negative (according to our son) was that there was only basic cable so there was no ESPN and football games were limited. This is minor and most people don't care about those things when on vacation (didn't bother me at all). I HIGHLY recommend this property. You will love it!

Comfortable and Clean

  • 5 of 5

This house was exactly as advertised -- as clean and as comfortable as depicted in the photos. It served well as a home base for exploring Rhode Island. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch, overlooking the shaded lawn. Instructions strategically placed throughout the house were helpful and made our stay here very easy.
