Three Generations Together for Extra Long Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Heron House easily accommodates families or groups with its open concept kitchen & living area managing to capture ocean views on one side and protected harbour & marina views on the other. Oh yes, you can also see Denman Island, Chrome Island with lighthouses as well as the Beaufort Mountain Range. Wow...pretty spectacular scenery!

The house is extremely well equipped for every possible need and we appreciated the 3 bedrooms up & 3 down to create some degree of separation for our extended family. Didn't matter that it rained for part of our stay as there are so many things to do in the house. Lots of reading material, games, pool table and even children's toys are generously supplied. On dry days you can explore the beach, go for walks and visit the local sights. We hope to be back next year! Thank you, Julie & John, for making your amazing home available!

Wonderful House on two different bodies of water

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation rental for our three-generation family group of 11 than Herron House, perched on a narrow peninsula between a picturesque harbor full of bobbing boats and the rocky shore of the Inside Passage. The house has plenty of open living area, an expansive kitchen - beautifully equipped - terraces front and back, and beautiful views. The kids spent hours exploring the shoreline, and we all had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy watching the neighborhood eagles put on a show. Loads of places to explore by foot or by car.

Great ladies weekend

  • 5 of 5

We spent a great ladies weekend at Heron house. It was a wonderful, fully equipped home with everything we needed. Great time walking the beach, going to the marina, sipping wine on the deck, meeting some neighbours, etc. Location is amazing with stunning views, we can not wait to come back next year. Owners were wonderful and accommodating.

Fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at Heron House in Deep Bay and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The people in the Deep Bay community were friendly and helpful, and the cafe at the marina was a great place to eat and watch the 2 pair of eagles that were nesting nearby. The house was perfectly located to visit surrounding areas like Cathedral Grove, Pacific Rim, and the Campbell River area. Sunsets from the deck of the home were breathtaking. Groceries and spirits were available a short distance away in Bowser. There was a nice and relatively short hiking trail with a number of waterfalls nearby at Nile Creek....access to the trail is at the Nile Creek bridge on Hwy 19. Thank you John and Julie for sharing your lovely home. We will be back!

Perfect family retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This home at Deep Bay was so fitting for our family of 10, we loved the views of the water out the front & back along with the wrap around deck to enjoy...so unique. The change in the tide only added to the experience of being on the ocean, what a spot to have that first coffee of the day, thanks for sharing your home with us.
