About Steve and Pati Hinds
We are all season outdoor adventurers. We love hiking, backpacking, nordic and downhill skiing, street and mountain biking, boating, and fishing. We discovered Seward back in '05 and found the scenery and friendly people irresistible.
Steve and Pati Hinds purchased this House in 2006
Why Steve and Pati Hinds chose Bear Creek
We built this home in 2006. A simple and functional floor plan on our 3 acre property. It's a quiet rural neighborhood with lots of open space on the edge of the Alaskan Wilderness.
What makes this House unique
When staying at our house you have access to free fire wood, extra clothing (if needed), rubber boots , sleeping bags and pads, and even bear spray!
Sports & Adventure Activities
Great place to stay. Very nice owner.
The Hinds, who live right next door, have this house setup with everything you need. Very comfortable, clean, and well cared for. I have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone.
The property was as described and had everything we needed for our weekend in Seward. Definitely would recommend to other and we would definitely stay there again should we find ourselves in the area. Thank you Steve and Patti!
Great Place in the Woods!
We could not have asked for a better experience with our rental with Steve. He was attentive, but not intrusive. Any questions we had, he answered immediately. The pictures do not do justice to this gem in the woods. The place was immaculate and well supplied. One of our best memories will be the campfire with Steve, Henry, our group of four, and the couple in the cabin next to us. Lots of musicians in the group, so it was a really enjoyable evening. We would recommend the Alaska View Lodge to anyone looking to stay in Seward area. It's close to town (10 minutes) but a world away.
The location was great. Steve had the light on for our 2:00a.m. arrival.
The hospitality was excellent. Accommodations for the 2 of us were more than enough. Very private.
Beautiful Cabin in gorgeous location
This cabin is surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees all around. It is about 3-4 miles from Seward port and nearest grocery store. There is a creek flowing right behind the backyard that we could walk up to. My boys loved going there to skip stones.
The cabin is fully furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Owner Steve lives next door and made sure our stay was as best as it could be. He started the fire in the evenings and our family would gather around it chatting the night away. My boys wanted us to cancel our plans of Denali and just stay here instead.
Thanks for your hospitality Steve, we had an amazing time.
Great hosts, location and facility
We thoroughly enjoyed staying with Hinds. Loved the fire Steve built. The cabin is only a few minutes from Seward and is very nice, comfortable and well furnished. Great value.
