A Lovely Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We frequently rent properties from this site and this one ranks among the best. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and immaculate. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and our dogs. The property is very convenient but removed from the hustle and bustle of town.

The proprietors are very customer-focused. We were personally greeted and escorted to our cabin, which is a nice touch. Whereas we didn't require anything over the weekend, I know that they would have been happy to accommodate.

We look forward to many future visits!

Great winter vacation

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in the small cabin for a full week. It was our first time to Estes Park and we had a great time. Being from Alabama winter vacations to the mountains are unique and exciting to us. We were the only ones on the property so it really felt like we were secluded while still being only 4 miles from down town Estes Park. The owners were nearby and available but we never had to ask about anything. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay (a wine opener would have been nice). The cabin has a wood burning stove as well as electric heat. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the bathroom has it's own heat which is nice on those cold mornings. The first morning we were there we woke up to elk grazing right outside our window. The view from any window is beautiful but the view from the front window is simply amazing. We saw elk every day on our drive to and from town. The park entrance is about 4 miles away. The cabins are pet friendly and our Yorkie felt right at home. He loved the snow. We would definitely recommend the Overlook Ranch when visiting the Estes Park area.

Quiet spot away from town

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved our stay at the Overlook! The kids (10 & 8) loved playing Frisbee golf and exploring/hiking the woods. We read our books while laying in Hammock Gulch. We had a cookout in the old stable and enjoyed making smores in the firepit. The cabin is an easy distance to town, but so nice to get away from the crowds on the busy holiday weekend. Ed and Gisela were very accommodating and helpful in our stay. Highly recommend!

Cozy Cabin Nestled in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin at the beautiful Overlook Ranch. We're familiar with the area and this was a wonderful place to stay. Close enough to Estes Park and RMNP, but distanced from all the tourists as well. The owners and other cabins are nearby, but far enough away that you still feel secluded. The view of the mountains from the property is amazing! Aspens are right outside the front picture window. You can eat at the table next to another large picture window. The kitchen is easy to use, with plenty of pans, dishes, etc. The bed was comfortable. It's quiet and peaceful. The owner's were friendly and helpful. Great experience!!

Perfect Cabin With HUGE Views!

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights on the Overlook Ranch property due to a last minute cancellation. My husband and I stayed in the smallest cabin which has an efficiency bedroom shared with the living room area, separated nicely by the positioning of the furniture. There is also a reading nook continuation of the living room which is framed by a large picture window with what must be one of the most spectacular views of the Continental Divide in all of Estes Park, including a straight-on vista of Long's Peak. We were simply awestruck by the views! The cabin itself is super clean, nicely furnished and comfortable; and the owners are super knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to work with. We did not want to leave and will surely be back...we hope to stay in the beautiful main house some day! Highly recommend!!

Stayed at the larger cabin with my wife and young daughter....cabin and property was even better than expected! Loved being 10 minutes from town, yet secluded on a hillside with great views. Deer were feeding outside the cabin one morning and saw a small herd of Elk down the road. The owners obviously know how to care for and maintain a property like this. Hope to come back soon!
