Enjoy the beautiful waters and meandering trails of the Intracoastal Waterway from our ground-floor condo at Tidelands 1817. Located in the exclusive, gated Ocean Hammock complex, our luxurious condo is a wonderful home base for your Palm Coast vacation!
And when you stay at Tidelands 1817, you can enjoy all of the amenities of the Tidelands Estates. Spread over 80 acres of lush community grounds surrounded by water on three sides, this community includes a clubhouse with fitness center, and game room; large swimming pool and hot tubs; and so much more! The atmosphere is family-friendly, but some areas are designated for adults, giving you the best of both worlds. Walking trails wind through the grounds, as does the Palm Coast Waterway. And the coquina-shell beach is breathtaking!
But first you'll have to leave the condo, and that may be difficult once you settle into this comfortable, pleasant, beautifully appointed space. The first place you'll be attracted to is the lanai, a big screened-in room just off the great room. Sitting out here, you can play peekaboo with the Intracoastal (just beyond the greenery) and enjoy the balmy breezes. If you're so inclined, you'll find that your free wireless Internet service works well on the lanai, and the casual table makes a nice laptop stand. But you may prefer the company of a frosty drink and some good friends!
The lanai is the best place to watch the sunset over the Intracoastal, and once twilight turns to darkness, step indoors and enjoy the comforts of our living and dining area. Everything in here is airy and light, just right for tired golfers, sightseers, or beachcombers after a busy day!
Flop down onto the living room sofa and turn on the huge HDTV, slip your favorite movie into the DVD player, or put a soothing CD into the stereo system. A plush recliner beside a reading lamp invites you to dip into that beach novel you brought . . . and then lulls you to sleep within minutes, of course! Well, why not? You've got so many things to do and see here in Palm Coast, you need a little downtime whenever you can find it!
For the livelier members of your group, our gourmet kitchen and dining area offer the opportunity to concoct a delicious feast, engage in an evening of cards or board games, or simply enjoy reminiscences that begin over dinner and continue all evening. Our kitchen contains brand-new stainless-steel appliances, wooden cabinetry, a tiled floor, and granite counter tops, plus the full complement of cookware, dishes, and utensils. It's tempting to give it a whirl . . . or, if you decline to cook while on vacation, just use the kitchen for its time-saving devices: microwave, toaster oven, ice and water in the fridge door, dishwasher, blender, and more. Palm Coast has many outstanding restaurants!
The living, dining, and kitchen areas of Tidelands 1817 are open-plan, so you can see right through the lanai out to the grounds even when you're at the sink. This is great for keeping the group together. But for bedtime, you want quiet and privacy, and our 2 bedrooms guarantee you a comfortable night's rest.
The master suite is very generously proportioned, boasting a king-sized bed (heaven!), TV, cushioned reading chair, and big bright window. The bath here has his-and-her vanities, a walk-in shower, and smooth tiling. You will love the privacy and spaciousness of this suite.
The guest bedroom is cozy, with a queen-sized bed and a TV. It's convenient to the second bathroom, shared with the living area. This bath has a tub as well as a shower (perfect for small children who balk at taking a shower!), and all of the towels and linens for every bed and bath are waiting for you here. We also have a laundry room with washer and dryer for your use. All the comforts of home, but in a lovely new location!
You will fall in love with Tidelands 1817 and the entire Palm Coast area.
Hi! My name is Steve Milo and I started Vacation Rental Pros in 2006. Our family stays in vacation rental homes whenever we travel, both domestically and abroad! I own several vacation homes and listen carefully to all our guests' feedback. Our greatest compliment is when folks refer Vacation Rental Pros to their friends and relatives. We now manage over 1,800 properties in Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. We have homes in Ft. Myers Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Hilton Head and Gatlinburg. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2016. Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
We arrived to a very clean, very well maintained condo. Furnishings were exceptional. During our stay we were able to sit on our patio and watched the boats travel the intracoastal waterway. Dogs are allowed on the complex but their owners supervise their pets, keep them quiet and always pick up after them. If you want a vacation 'with action', stay closer to Daytona Beach. But if you want to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is your place.
We definitely would stay there again and would highly recommend it.
We have stayed in various condos/houses all over Florida over the past 20+ years with our 4 children. This was the least friendly place of them all. The first day we were there we went to the clubhouse to play pool. The folks up there said it was not open. Since there was no sign to this effect and we had the code to get in, we entered anyway and played. There was only one usable pool cue, the other 2 were broken. Soon after we arrived, the ladies that were playing cards left without speaking to us since telling us basically we weren't welcome. This set the tone for the whole week. Then there were the signs that the pool area and clubhouse closed at 5:30 everyday. This was absurd! There was a lovely firepit by the pool but we never used it because who sits by the fire during the day when it is 85 outside? After dinner when it was chilly, we would have loved to sit by the fire but it is closed at that time! Similarly, it would have been nice to play pool or air hickey or fooseball in the evening after dinner, but again the clubhouse is closed at this time. Also, there are no balls for fooseball or pucks or pushers for air hockey anyway. Seems the folks there are more interested in keeping their great amenities locked up than making them accessible to their guests. Overall, we felt the owners who were there would rather not share their stuff with the riff-raff vacation renters (us.) Loved the area otherwise, lots to do outside the complex, great restaurants, close proximity to many fun day trips. Would definitely return to this area, but wouldn't stay in this place again. Oh, almost forgot the stench on the walk to the pool from the dog poop in the gardens along the walk that the owners thought it was OK to not pick up. Yuck! The people at Vacation Rental Pros were great, the problem was the on-site people at this complex. The day before we left to come home my 18 year old daughter posted this on facebook,'can't wait to leave this place.'
When we arrived at Tidelands, we had of course seen pictures of the property online, but they did not do the place justice! It was so much more beautiful "in person"! My family and I couldn't believe we had gotten such a great deal on such an amazing place. I don't know how to describe what it feels like to arrive, after a few hours on the road, to find that the place we were going to stay in was so perfect. The time we spent there together as a family was even more special because of how we were treated by the staff at Vacation Rental Pros! Thanks for making this, one of the most memorable vacations for me and my family! We are already looking forward to booking next year's vacation spot with you guys!
We had a good time and enjoyed walking the nature trails. The only complaint was that there was dog hair on the floors and there was a few bugs in the kitchen when we arrived. They told us that the unit had been sprayed early. We would stay there again but maybe in a unit that did not allow pets.
Overall our stay was good, but not excellent. We were not provided with proper code to enter our rental. Also, code provided to access pool at clubhouse was also wrong. These are things one should not have to deal with while on vacation - it is pretty inconvenient when you have two small kids yet you cannot get into condo for over 30 minutes or use the ammenities for about 1 hour. The unit itself was clean and well furnished, however I cannot recommend it or stay there again because it is on ground floor and all windows are facing parking lot, which I didn't know. So, we had to keep the blinds on all of them for privacy. In addition, one night at a condo directly above us they had a party and they were very loud and obnoxious. Also, we had 1 car garage but it was pretty useless because it was a small walk away from the condo, not attached to it. Our truck wouldn't fit inside (Dodge Ram), which fits in our garage at home. But, we still had a great time and weather was excellent. I would prefer a different location next time.
