Lovely, cozy cottage perfect for our family
The cottage was cozy over the unusually cold Thanksgiving holiday. Great family space. My kids loved the games, especially Twister.
Wonderful place to stay!
"Serenity Now" lives up to it's name! We came for the fall colors and to see family in the area. The West Island is beautiful even in the cold weather! Dianne is a perfect hostess. The house is cozy, lovely, and she provides all the little touches to make it feel like home! 3 of us stayed for a week and there is plenty of room and it's not far from anything and everything! We highly recommend it!
My husband & I flew into Boston and have been in the area for three weeks. This is our last stop. Great place to veg out prior to going back home. Very clean...home has been nicely updated. Location is convenient to Cape Cod/Martha’s Vineyard as well as Newport, RI. Plenty of good places to eat as well as grocery stores but u will need a car. Would love to be able to stay here again.
Exactly as described....
This was a beautiful spot to relax. It is comfortable, clean and beautiful inside and out. The owner was so cooperative with us when we asked for a date change due to Hurricane Florence, and that was much appreciated. The local Fairhaven restaurants were great, and a lovely book is provided by the owner with recommendations for food and things to do. We fell asleep to the sound and scent of the beautiful bay across the street... awesome!
Great getaway. We only live 50 miles away but felt we were a world away.
The property is in a great location. The house is tucked away for privacy but the deck has a view of the water. Step outside the front door and another fine view. The house feels much bigger than it looks from outside. It’s clean and bright and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The driveway was long enough to accommodate a small trailer carrying a tiny sailboat and kayaks as well as 2 cars. Managed to do all water sports based on wind and temperatures. Had a wonderful time. Plan to return!
Wonderful end of summer getaway
Photos don't give the whole "picture" about this wonderful home. And you really feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Dianne has provided everything needed for a relaxing stay and she's very responsive with any inquiries. The view from the back deck is restorative. The neighborhood is quiet and Fairhaven is a great location with easy access to beaches, shopping, activities (The Whaling Museum in New Bedford is a must). It's also just a quick drive to the Cape. We hope to return in the future.
