North Park is the most popular and hippest of San Diego's urban villages because it has a wonderful eclectic mix of great restaurants, cafes, pubs, micro breweries, shops, fitness, galleries, and music venues and also borders Balboa Park. This gorgeous Spanish home, built in 1925, is perfectly located for walking all about North Park. The home is full of California Craftsman Bungalow features such as moldings, cove ceilings, large wood windows and beautiful original maple wood floors. There is a great big, fully fenced yard for playing, grilling, dining and lounging under a wonderful shade tree. Off-street parking for 2-3 cars. Beautiful artwork and comfortable furnishings throughout the home. The space is bright, open and invites a zen-like relaxation. Fully modernized with central AC, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, two full baths.
Three bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping in queen and full size beds. Additional sleeping on the large sectional in the living room or a full size air mattress we can provide enables this home to accommodate 8 without a fuss. We also have Pack 'n Play for families with babies.
You won't want to leave the property, but so much of San Diego is within a walk or short drive from this wonderful central location!
Walk to hip restaurants, cafes, wine bars, brewery, shops and fitness centers in North Park, a lively, fun community. Take a 5 minute walk to Balboa Park's Morley Field -- hiking and running trails, community pool, tennis, golf, athletic complex, picnic areas, bike track, bocci court, tiny tots play area, and more. A bit farther into the park are the zoo and museums -- still walking distance or a short ride. You will be 5-10 minutes from downtown hot spots -- Gaslamp, Seaport Village, Little Italy, Convention Center. Only 10 minutes to Coronado Island, a world class destination with beautiful, expansive white sand beaches. Seaworld is about 15 minutes via nearby highway.

About Gail Feldman
I moved to San Diego when I was 20 years old and in the first months of being here, I called my mother and told her that I would live here for the rest of my life. 30 years later, this seems to be coming true. I love to hike, bike, swim in the ocean, play with my dogs, and enjoy great food and wine.
Gail Feldman purchased this House in 2004
Why Gail Feldman chose North Park
I decided to vacation rental this home because I now live with my spouse in a nearby community. I didn't want to rent it completely, so I thought this would be a good alternative. I love to travel myself and often wish I had a home away from home, just like mine. I thought I would offer it to others.
What makes this House unique
I moved to North Park in San Diego because of the central location to the urban excitement of San Diego without the congestion of condos and apartments. I wanted to be able to walk and bike to Balboa Park! I wanted to walk around the corner to a coffee shop or a café or the gym and enjoy not driving!

Comfortable, great location
Gail was easy to get in touch with. Can't beat the location, had everything we needed. Second time we stayed here and would stay here again
Very comfortable home with ample parking. We would stay again.
Great Property - All of the Amenities
This property could not be closer to the zoo, the stadiums, Balboa Park, Sea World, Mission Beach and so much more. We stayed here with our 4 kids (8, 8, 9, 11) and had the time of our lives. The house had everything that we needed (except only one broken ice cube tray??) and was situated within 15 minutes of everything important to do in San Diego.
If you are taking kids, buy the Go San Diego Card. It has all kinds of fun stuff on it that is included (Zoo, Legoland, Belmont Amusement Park at Mission Beach, Padres Stadium Tour, Sea World and so many more). The ones I named above are the ones that we squeezed in on a 3 day pass. It was action packed! Saved us over 50% on entree fees.
Thanks Gail for sharing your home with us!
Nick- I am so happy you enjoyed...your enthusiasm for the house and San Diego makes me thrilled and fulfilled! Hope to see you again soon!
Great base for San Diego visit
This was a great place to base our visit in San Diego. It is clean and well kept and close to all the places we wanted to visit, especially the zoo and Balboa Park. There are several good restaurants in close proximity and a lovely coffee shop (Santos) within short walking distance. It was the right size for our family of 4 adults.
San Diego Wedding Headquarters
We were looking for a home in San Diego that would accommodate our family for our son's wedding. We found this terrific property that was not only close to the wedding venue (Balboa Park), but was also in the backyard of my son's in-laws, which made it very handy during wedding week preparations. The home and yard were in great shape and perfect for our 3 children, their spouses and our grandson. Additionally, the owner and manager were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property!
