4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 12
A big house for a big group, this gorgeous Venice island paradise beach retreat is an ideal base for your next family gathering or special celebration. Up to fourteen guests will sleep comfortably in 4 bedrooms and spend days in the private heated pool or at the nearby beach. Taste the Venice island life at 301 Harbor Drive South.
Located on the island of Venice and only 3 blocks to the town center, the home boasts many features that increase your sense of overall privacy and security. Lush landscaping makes a gorgeous backdrop and disguises the fenced backyard. Parents of small children can teach their kids to swim, yet relax knowing that the pool is properly fenced. Live life coastal-style outdoors, in the screened lanai under palm trees-a-plenty. An outside dining table and ample sun beds keep the party outside.
Indoors, a huge selection of new living room furniture suits a big group. Two large microsuede sofas and a further two over-sized arm chairs are comfy places to gather for a movie or ball game. An overhead ceiling fan keeps things cool.
Wrought iron tables and tiled floors underfoot leave things open and breezy, just as a vacation house should be. Control the sunlight from the large window with vertical blinds.
While your family or group entertains diverse interests, others can play or chat in the nearby family room. Styled in cafe chic, a small table and higher bar table sit atop a brick floor. Bring favorite board games or a pack of cards and play all night.
When bed time rolls around, the master bedroom accommodates a family in this separate suite. Much like a large hotel room, parents with young children can comfortably fit in the room’s two queen beds and queen-sized sofa bed.
The home’s second guest bedroom will keep the grandparents or another couple happy. Spoiled with massive king bed and TV, the room’s occupants will love its cheery ambiance - floral prints and palm tree motifs dot the comforter, accents and wicker furniture. A dresser is included for easy organization.
Bedrooms three and four boast bright accommodation with two twin beds and a queen, respectively. Both have new and ample storage furniture, large windows and ceiling fans. Your guests’ comfort is absolutely assured.
When searching for local entertainment, it’s only 3 blocks to both the beach and charming downtown Venice. Head to the beach each night for a stunning sunset, followed by a fresh seafood dinner at popular Sharkey’s restaurant, then ice cream downtown.
Wireless Internet makes this home as convenient as it is lovely. Two full bathrooms are clean and bright, with high-quality finishings. One bathroom is handicapped accessible while the other has a bathtub, an ideal option for parents with small children and a flotilla of rubber ducks.

Review of 301 Harbor Dr. South, Venice, FL
Tile floors were dirty when we arrived, paint is peeling off one bathroom wall, concrete pool deck had dirty black spots all over it, a lot of green mold on white fence around yard and on white metal areas on pool screened in area. House is old and not arranged well. Part that used to be a garage was turned into a bedroom and has a slight smell of something like creosote. I called housekeeping to clean and they did, and also pool deck and fence was cleaned, but house still needs work. Paint throughout house needs touched up a lot and one bathroom needs painted badly. House is old. We won't stay here again.
Hi Patricia! We are sad to hear that you felt as though the unit was unsatisfactory, as we strive to provide all of our guests with an amazing vacation experience in a clean and relaxing environment. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to correct the issue for future guests.
We Recommend this Home & Will be Back!
This is the perfect house near downtown Venice Beach for our family reunion! It’s only 3 block 5 Minute walk to Venice Ave with all the restaurants, shops and pubs.
We also enjoyed this walkable community exploring historic neighborhoods, walking down to the beach and jetty.
The house is very comfortable and lived in. It was nice being able to cook and have enough seating for 11 for one dinner with me parents & sister and daughter over.
All in all this is a very good value and we look forward to booking this house again.
The house needs some maintenance and cleaning.
The house is comfortable, by having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and is very well located. The AC was not working upon our arrival. It was fixed the next day. One of the bedrooms, though, still didn´t have AC during our whole 10 day stay. The kitchen sink didn´t drain. The garbage disposal didn´t work. Both issues were addressed 2 days after our arrival. It would have been a great stay, if none of this had not happened.
First off let me say the property is very spacious. I think the garage may have been turned into a room and the patio is inadequately enclosed which causes tons of cooling loss and inconsistent cooling. We did not have wifi for the first two days, and after going around with Verizon I called the management co. They were very timely but the fixers said we had to sacrifice a television to get wifi.. 😡😡😡really. The management was very nice and efficient but they could not do but so much. The fixers were awesome but they too were limited. The pool also has poor drainage and you are constantly stepping in gross water. This property is not up to par.
Nice home in a great area.
Pros: Great spacious home in a really pretty neighborhood, very close to stores and centrally located to several beaches. There were 8 adults, 2 teens, one pre-teen and a 1 year old in the home and we never felt as if we were tripping over each other at any given time. Plenty of space. We spent the week of July 4th there and went to see the fireworks off Venice Beach (Literally a 3 minute drive from the home). Great little bbq area, fantastic and clean pool that we enjoyed every day.
Cons: It is an older home that could use a little updating, the screened in pool had some holes in the screen so mosquitoes were an issue. Although the house was clean, there were some sheets that still had a musky smell to them.
Overall we did not regret renting this home, it was a really nice place to spend time with the family celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of the matriarch and patriarch of the family. Venice is a really nice small town with great shops and beaches. I would definitely recommend staying.
3 day stay
Large roomy house and nice pool would stay again.
Blinds did not cover windows--- missing slats, cover pot did not work,
