This property is professionally managed by Ali'i Beach Rentals, so if this particular condo isn't available please inquire about our other beautiful vacation rentals. Feel free to contact us if you have questions before booking online.

Located at 2551 Cartwright Rd. this charming low-rise boutique hotel sits off the beaten path yet a close walk to everything you care about. Cabana at Waikiki sits in a less traveled area off Kapahulu Avenue, just a block from the world famous Waikiki Beach. The greatest thing about this property is that you feel as though you are out of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki yet are but a short stroll from popular restaurants, amazing shopping, white sand beaches, and vibrant nightlife. Not to mention the lush green Kapiolani Park and Honolulu Zoo are just around the corner! The Cabana At Waikiki is the ideal choice for your tropical Hawaiian getaway.

This particular condo has been heavily upgraded. Tasteful wood furnishings were shipped straight from Indonesia. Let the tropical inspired décor whisk you away to a place where the worries of life are left far behind. We have gone to great lengths to make sure this is truly your home away from home.

This condo is also furnished with a fully equipped kitchen ready to cook and eat. Feedback from our guests show that this is one of the best ways to take control of your vacation budget! Preparing meals instead of eating out three times a day can save an average of $100 a day per couple. This is a must for the budget minded traveler. Coin operated washers and dryers are available.

The sleeping arrangements are convenient with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen size futon couch in the living room which will sleep the 3rd and 4th guests.

Parking: Reserved onsite parking is available for $15/night. Space is limited so please let us know if you would like to add parking to your booking. Please note that street parking is extremely hard to come by so if you're planning on renting a car this parking is a must.

Note: Make sure everyone in your party is able to go up and down the steps. It is required to get into this condo. Also, this is a legal one bedroom condo because of it's size and full kitchen, however it does not have a wall and door that separates the bedroom from the living room.

Reviewer Comments:

We booked same day and the management team was really fun and easy to work with. They actually helped me find the right property for me. This little gem is a block away from the beach and 1/2 block to th park. Zoo and the shell. We were here to see Jack Johnson so being a six minute walk in o the shell was amazing. A half block on either side are big resorts ( you're in a good neighborhood) but this place is on a small street. It quiet! In Waikiki that's a miracle! You have front door and Windows that are across from lanai to give you good cross breeze. There is also a ceiling fan and ac if needed. The kitchen has all that you need and they provid beach towels, chairs and boogie boards which is super fun with thmy beach right there. 1/2 block walk to the bus line and you can get anywhere on the island for just $2.50. We don't usually do the bus but a car and parking was $150 a day and we figured it would mostly be parked. There is parking here but we recommend the bus. It's easy and you can just kick back while the driver deals with the traffic! Sometimes small things happen. We had a glitch and the staff took care of it immediately. This is very important to us as travelers, knowing that we won't be stuck with a problem Checkin is super easy. There is a clearly marked Lockbox on the outside gate. A fob works on the main gate and the gate to the building. Once you in - use your code on the front door. We left the fob in the lockbox when we went out so we didn't have to worry about losing the key. We thought this an ideal place to stay for a busy adventure on O'ahu. If you're looking for a place to lounge around the pool - this is not it, but if you're willing to walk a block to an amazing beach and have a clean quiet home base, this is your place

Perfect place to stay in Waikiki! Very clean and bright and close to everything! This apartment is literally right around the corner from the beach and shops! It's on a quiet back street so sleeping at night is great since you don't hear any noise. Any questions we had during our stay were promptly answered! Would absolutely stay here again!!!!

Good value, great location, quiet and clean

  • 4 of 5

We'd never been to Waikiki or Oahu before. After seeing the huge swarms of visitors (I had no idea it was so crowded!) I'm very glad we ended up in the quieter zone. This condo building is on an alley-like street between hotels, and just 2 short blocks from the beach. It's also a block from the park and the zoo, and not far from Diamond Head. As others have mentioned, the unit was spotless and had a well-equipped kitchen. (If you have a car, get groceries at Food Pantry 5 blocks away, or drive to Safeway on Kapahulu about 10 minutes away.) The bathrooms had soap, lotion and shampoo samples to get us through the first couple of days. It's not quite as large or bright as the promotional photos imply, but it was fine overall - nothing fancy, a little worn around the edges, but we are value hunters and this was a great value. The management is very responsive; the mattress pad was torn and they replaced it within the day; we had TV issues and heard from the maintenance guy within a short period as well. (I'd recommend calling and not using the Fix It form on their app, which didn't seem to go through.) Minor grumbles: soft bed (I like firm); the fitted sheet was really loose and the corners kept pulling off the mattress during the night. The futon/couch is not very comfy; it slips down and hangs way off the frame. But maybe it's good for sleeping, we didn't need to find out. TV operation is a bit puzzling, with various remotes and channel/volume buttons that need holding for many seconds to get action. (I hear the office has new written instructions for operating the TV; it will be great when these are added to the app or posted in the room.) But you are not in Hawaii to watch TV really, so here are some tips! Walk to the KCC (Kapi'olani Community College) farmer's market on Saturday, it's great. 20-25 minutes up a gradual hill. Mami's Empanada's Food Truck is on your street, at the zoo end. (They do a wonderful Cubano sandwich and also arepas - get the sweet corn one.) Also take advantage of Tiki's 2-5 p.m. happy hour nearby on the patio. The #20 bus a block away goes to Pearl Harbor and the airport. The bus system in general will take you most places - shopping centers, downtown, out to Hanauma Bay - for $2.50. Oh, and there ARE homeless people all over Waikiki, and while that may be unsettling to some, we found those on our street to be decent folks striving to keep the area clean, and pleasant to talk to. Thanks Alli Beach Rentals for a wonderful stay.

Reviewer Comments:

Loved our unit: clean & comfy. Needs one more beach chair though.Big problem is EWA hotel next door: loud party crowd made noise late into each night. Also homeless tent next to gate on other side was an unpleasant greeting each morning before breakdown. We might stay w/Alii again, but not here.

Reviewer Comments:

I was really impressed with the quality and value of this condo. It was quite quiet, even though it's in Waikiki, clean and comfortable. I found with the ceiling fan on and the balcony door open that there was enough air flow that I didn't need the air conditioner. And the ceiling fan is almost silent! I would certainly try and stay here again if available.
