About Lyn Petersen

I moved to Bozeman in 1991 and became engrossed with the wonderful community, people, the mountains, flyfishing, hiking and hunting. I purchased our house in 1998 and built the garage apartment in 2004. The apartment was my 'dream house' with my long sought after bath tub. A cute boy from work, Pete (Great Falls, MT native), helped me move into the apartment and 3 years later we were married! We moved back into the main house for extra space to fit our growing family. Now we have two beautiful daughters, Dawson and Holden. Pete is a full time fishing guide in the summer while I substitute teach and work two nights a week at the Bozeman Brewery pouring the best local beer in town!

Why Lyn Petersen chose Yellowstone Country

We both love Montana and thought it would be fun to give people a wonderful place to stay while playing in the Big Sky Country. We previously rented the apartment to one couple for four years but decided to turn it into a vacation rental during the winter of 2012 to serve other families that want to enjoy the Gallatin Valley.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is a very quiet, relaxing place to stay. With the wonderful tub and warming gas fireplace it'll be hard to ever leave! Our library features many Montana books about climbing, fishing and hunting along with featured authors such as Ivan Doig and David James Duncan. The outdoor patio is a wonderful place to sit and drink your morning tea or coffee while taking in the warmth of the sun. If you would like to learn how to flyfish or go on a guided trip we can do that too!

Could not have been better!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Lyn and Pete's beautiful loft downtown Bozeman last week. I went to college in bozeman and wanted to return for a week to share the town with my husband.

We wanted a place to stay were we could easily accsss downtown but still have our own privacy. This cozy little loft was perfect for us in every way! The location is a short walk to downtown and the perfect distance from so many running trails- you can just hop out the front door and be off! We spent our nights cozied up on the comfy couch there and even stayed in two nights and made dinner! The kitchen is fully stocked and Lyn has thought of everything to make a stay go smoothly.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Cozy with a great location

  • 4 of 5

While my husband was in class, I was able to easily walk to downtown Bozeman. The apartment is small but open with a cozy gas stove. Lyn provided some nice touches to make us feel welcome.

Comfortable home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Super clean and well thought out apartment. Everything you need away from home. Comfortable, clean, cozy and close to downtown Bozeman. Quiet and private, truly felt like home. Loved the kitchen and bathroom (lovely soaker tub). Would return here in a heartbeat.

Great Apartment Close to Main Street Amenities

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay--and we'll be back. The apartment is well-equipped and spotless. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen functional. My two-year old loved the toys. The location (a 5 minute walk to Main Street) is convenient. Lyn was an excellent host. If you are headed to Bozeman and want a place from which to explore downtown, I couldn't think of a better choice.
