Beautiful Hayden Lake in northern Idaho is located 8 miles north of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and 40 miles east of Spokane. WA. Couples with or without guests or families big or small are all lining up their summer plans to enjoy an unforgettable week or more in their very own Spanish-style home. It is located on one of the choice view properties on Mokins Bay at Hayden Lake. It's a perfect setting for a cocktail, dinner or recreational party or just a family time of fun. There are many choices of places to sit, enjoy the mountain and waterfront view, visit, play games, soak up some sun, take nature walks in the private 14 acre forest, take a nap or swim. Enjoy boating on the lake with the Sea cycle, 8 ft Pontoon boat, 3 stand up paddle boards, 3 kayaks, paddle boat or the 17 foot 3 person canoe.

Great fishing June-Sept with consistent catches of 14-16 inch Kokanee (Landlocked Sockeye Salmon), trout, bass, northern pike and crappie.

Whatever your idea of a good time is, you'll find it here.

The open concept of the living/dining/kitchen areas makes for easy communication and good times whether it's your turn to cook or you get to keep the cook company. Bar-B-Q is available and an easy way of living at the lake.

Prefer a little less action and a little more serenity for fishing, cruising or just relaxing, consider June or September. Some of the best weather conditions and peaceful times can be experienced during the Spring or early Fall.

An added benefit to the beautiful Spring or Fall is our rates are considerably lower than high season so you can enjoy a quality, economical stay.

Reserve early, as many do enjoy this time period at Hayden Lake.

About Bob Gerend

We are retired for 12 years now and have enjoyed owning this home to enjoy ourselves when the adjacent home was being occupied by our grandchildren. So many good memories have been made here. We manage our 2 Hayden Lake rentals from our home in Auburn, WA and spend the winter at our home in Palm Springs, California.

Bob Gerend purchased this house in 2007

Why Bob Gerend chose Idaho

It became available in 2007 and made sense as we owned the home next door. We consider this the very best part of Hayden Lake and enjoy spending 3 weeks in the Spring and Fall enjoying our Lakehomes and doing annual maintenance.

What makes this house unique

Awsome view, privacy, so much to do or do nothing at all, home away from home type comfort. Everybody is always happy when they are here. It's perfect for just the two of us or our big family.

Very nice unit with amazing lake views! Very comfortable.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. If anything would improve the property it would be to update the water craft available. Otherwise this place is fantastic! I highly recommend it to others and plan to return in the near future.

The owner and the property manager are extremely attentive and helpful. Everything seemed in working order. Fantastic experience here.

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time and we look forward to your return. Next season, we will have the large floating dock relocated 10 feet farther out to make the sandy beach even more accessible. Bob and Pat

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough good things about our stay at the lake house. Our week there was everything we wanted and more. The home is lovely, CLEAN and comfortable and has everything we could want or need. The location is beautiful, the sweeping lake views out of every window are gorgeous. The setting is quiet and relaxing. We had so much fun... in the water with all the fun kayaks, canoe, peddle boat, paddle boarding etc, barbecuing overlooking the lake and nature watching. The beautiful sunsets and moonlight on the lake, great place to unwind and spend quality time together. We'd go back in heartbeat. Bob was awesome to rent from and made it really easy. He's very organized and has thought of everything. Jeanne, the on-sight manager is lovely and helpful if you need her. This is a wonderful place and a great value for the price. We made great family memories there, thank you!!

Beautiful views of lake Hayden.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at lake house on Hayden Lake. Beautiful setting, we were outside most of the time, enjoying the scenery. Church camp across the cove, the evening they sang, and was just so relaxing as we sat on the deck listening. They had a great fireworks display, so we did not have to leave the property. Lots of boats on lake, we could just sit on deck and watch skiing, tubes being pulled and seabos, Loved the deck and outdoor eating area. Canoe, paddle boats come with lake house and were fun to use.

Owners were avaible when we needed them and assisted with our question we had and we were happy they were.

Beautiful location with perfect views

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in lake house #9 for 6 nights with my husband, two daughters (22 and 19) and 2 grandchildren (12 months and 3 years). The road to the property is very twisty-turney but it is worth the drive! The location on the lake is perfect. My husband fished from 6am every day and unwound completely after a stressful year. The house is dated and quirky in a fun way - old but immaculate stove and super high bar chairs which my teen loved!! Lots of steps to the dock and big gaps in the rails, so not ideal for babies but the 3 year old was fine (wore a life jacket whenever he went down the steps) and had a blast in the canoe and on the pedal boat, and helping grandad fish. The house is extremely well equipped - every pot and utensil imaginable is provided, along with condiments, soap, detergents, even bandaids! And the lovely Jeannie (property manager) appeared with Aloe as soon as she heard my daughter had got a sunburn! Such a thoughtful, kind lady! TV was a bit tricky - the bedroom set in particular didn't always work well and we couldn't change channel, but we only wanted it for the toddler and a short DVD was fine (DVD player was provided). We would definitely book this property again - the hosts are definitely committed to ensuring that guests needs are met! We loved our trip and wish we could have stayed longer.

Owner's Response: Pat and I are so glad your family had a good time. Both flat screen TV's are just a year old. I suspect the folks before you may have changed the input channel. We will prepare an abbreviated instruction page for each set. Looking forward to having your family as our guests again. Bob Gerend
