About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Bonus Tower (See Description), 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12-14)

The Squaw Valley Estate is a 4800 sq. foot, 5 bedroom/4.5 bath home located less than 1/4 mile away from the legendary Squaw Valley Ski Resort. The home holds beautiful views of KT-22, Snow King Peak, and the Tram Face. With giant windows on the main floor providing bright light and wonderful views, you may not ever want to leave!

Enter this gorgeous property through a large, custom-made metal door. Before entry, you have a view of the manicured lawns and unique stone fountain available for your enjoyment. Ski and snowboard racks are provided at main entrance, just before heading up the hallway to the main house. Meander along the beautiful covered entryway of slate and wood. At the top of hallway, you will find a large shoe rack just outside the entrance to the main level, and a quaint bench for removal/donning of your shoes & boots.

Located on main floor, the living room holds a 47' flat screen, high definition TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, stereo, and six couches to melt into after a long day. A pellet stove in the middle of the room provides the heat of a wood fire, without all the hassle. Pellets for the stove will be provided for your convenience. The house also has heated flooring throughout, keeping the home at a cozy 73 degrees Fahrenheit all winter.

Off the living room is a custom-made dinning room. The dining room seats 20 people and is decorated in a German-Bavarian styling that makes dinner just as comfortable and relaxing as the rest of the house.

Also located on the main floor you will find a lovely kitchen with all you cooking needs. At night, turn off the lights and gaze at the stars through the large sky light. Off the kitchen is a walk-in pantry to hold all the dry goods you may need for your vacation.

Outside the dining room is a deck with unfettered views of Squaw Valley. From here, you can descend a staircase to the Paver patio, complete with table and large propane Bar-B-Que. Enjoy the unique granite stone work while cooking yourself a meal al fresco.

A spiral staircase from the main level brings you down to the second floor where you find 3 bedrooms, all with their own full bathrooms. The laundry station is also found on this floor. Continue downwards and you find yourself at the ground level with two separate queen rooms and a shared bathroom. Just outside is a covered hot tub to soak away long ski days or just to relax after a day of strenuous activities.

Going upwards from the main level, you will find yourself in a tower with 360 degree views of the property. A futon located here provides an extra sleeping quarter. From this tower to ground level, you will find wall decor displaying many of the activities you can find in the region.

There is a caretaker that lives on the premisses that handles all snow removal during the winter season and any repairs that may be necessary during your stay.

The Village at Squaw is a short distance away to provide many restaurants, activities, and entertainment. Tahoe City, a short 7 miles away, is where you find the nearest grocery store or stop on your way in from Truckee and grab all that is needed.

This property has everything you will need for your legendary Tahoe Vacation, all we need is you!

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

This is my new favorite place in Squaw Valley to stay with friends. It's wonderfully eccentric in design, and it's spacious and comfortable. The owners were very responsive and made sure our stay was perfect. We enjoyed cooking in well stocked kitchen, and enjoyed a wonderful hot tub in a snowy paradise. It's a 20 minute 1-mile walk to Olympic Village. Next time we return to Squaw with friends, we look forward to booking again!

Awesome winter vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over the New Year's weekend and we loved it! We had three families with 5 kids, ages 1-12, and we all had a blast! The kids loved the Tower of course, but they also loved playing in the snow in the yard. The adults loved lounging around in the spacious family room which also had an awesome view of the valley as well as the New Years fireworks! The house had everything that we needed for the trip. We cooked meals for our group of 11 everyday and had more than enough cooking and dining supplies. The owners were also very easily reachable and available for any issues or concerns. You could tell that they honestly want you to have a great vacation. We will definitely be back!

This spot will make your trip!

  • 5 of 5

This house made our stay. It looks like a castle when you drive up and you truly feel like royalty staying here. The views of the mountain are incredible and made for a perfect backdrop to our weekend. It is equipped with all the household items you could want and it was super homey, clean and comfortable. The proximity to the village, hiking trails and Tahoe City made it an ideal location. I would recommend staying here a hundred times over. We will definitely be coming back!

Our great trip to Squaw Valley.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I rented Squaw Valley Estate for a mothers day retreat. It was perfectly located in squaw with sweeping views of the valley. The home was cozy and warm from the minute you walked in, and the master bath was to die for... amazing shower and jacuzzi tub. It was the perfect place for me to enjoy a relaxing mothers day weekend.

The place to stay in Squaw!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Every year a group of friends from Germany come over and we do a ski trip. This year jackson hole, sun valley, park city, and squaw valley were the stops. After about a two week excursion we end our travels in Squaw. What a great experience! The house was perfectly situated in close proximity to the ski resort and village for fun nights out on the town. Walking back at night wasn’t an issue after having a few drinks. The views from the living room are beautifully expansive looking out over the ski resort. The dining room had plenty of space for a fun bbq that we hosted with friends from the area for our last night. There was plenty of bathrooms so with our large group there wasn’t any issues making it out of the house on time to head to the hill. The house was warm and cosy and we felt right at home the whole time we were there. We look forward to staying here again next year.

Sun and snow

  • 5 of 5

This house is an amazing rental. We were a group of friends who came to squaw valley to attend winter wondergrass music festival and snowboard/ski. The house far exceeded our expectations. The kitchen and dining room are huge which made big community meals so easy. The view is amazing (you can see the ski resort!) and the owners are fantastic people.

I would recommend this house to just about anyone looking for a weekend away or a ski lease!
