Super house in a Beautiful place.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week. Didn't want to come home. The house was great for the four of us. It was almost like two apartments. We has space when we needed it but great space for coming together. The geckos were wonderful. We spent every morning feeding them fruit which gathered together over 30 at a time. My daughter even coaxed one to walk on her hand for a bit. Wonderful memory made at your house. We will stay here again when we have a chance. We used it as a base to explore the island. Maynard family Boise Idaho.

Beautiful Unique Home...

  • 5 of 5

We loved this beautiful unique home in the Big Island. Everything was as pictured. We enjoyed the house just as much as we enjoyed the Island. The beautiful harmless geckos were so much fun to watch. There was one in my daughter's room our entire stay that she even named lol. The house had everything we needed. FYI: You do need a car in the Big Island. There's just one minor suggestion...if you can put some adhesive anti slip strips in the bathtubs. The bathtubs in both bathrooms were VERY slippery. This would also help families staying there with small children.

There are little local restaurants that we tried and they were all good. We visited the Volcano and it was an AMAZING experience. *Highly recommend it. I personally enjoyed what some might find annoying...the sound of the Coquís as I was born in Puerto Rico and miss it. Overall it was a wonderful vacation in a house like no other. Much better than a hotel without a doubt. My family and I would definitely consider staying there again in the future. Thank you for having your home available for us and for helping to make our vacation a better one!

Perfect Island Getaway Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed for 10 days! It is a gorgeous home with incredible views. Very spacious, with personal touches everywhere! The outside loungers were a perfect place for morning yoga and meditation. The geckos were entertaining for all! We can't say enough about this perfect island getaway! The kitchen was stocked with utensils, the coffee grinder/maker, the blender . . . . etc. There was plenty of beach gear that we used everyday-- ice chests, towels, snorkels, umbrella, chairs. All we had to think of was what beach we wanted to spend the days at!!!! There were two beaches close to the home -- Pebble Beach and O'Okeena Beach! Both great places to snorkel! Being in a gated neighborhood felt safe for our teenager if we needed to run to the local store 11 miles away. The foliage on the property was just beautiful! The sunset views were breathtaking and at night the sounds of the birds and frogs were so peaceful.

The first day at the beach my daughter spent a little too much time in the sun. The worker was on the property fixing the gate and told us to cut some aloe off the plant in yard. It totally saved the day! She was back in the sun within 24 hours! He also brought us some propane for the BBQ. He was very nice and welcoming! Gave us some added info about the Wana (sea urchins). Each day we got to return to this gorgeous home, tastefully decorated to relax, cook and hang out! We did not want to leave-- next time we will stay longer so we can visit more places on the Big Island! So much to see, but not enough time!

The owners were easily accessible and responded to all our emails immediately. Their attentiveness was thoughtful and much appreciated. Our deposit was returned before we even made it home! Thank you Tim and Tina for an awesome vacation that is filled with so many incredible memories that will last a lifetime!! We will definitely come back to stay again! MAHALO!

Our visit to the Big Island was a great decision and we will be back!

  • 4 of 5

Staying in the Wilkinson house made our trip to Hawaii very special. It was well stocked and nicely maintained. The local geckos were also fun breakfast guests and provided extra entertainment. The views of the ocean from the hillside was fantastic and the local beach, Ho 'okena (about 6 miles away) was one of our favorites! We saw spinner dolphins everytime we went there, several turtles and the snorkeling was pretty good.

Staying away from the "hubbub" of Kona did not bother us, as we wanted to explore all points to the south towards Volcano Park. We did end up doing a lot of driving but we were prepared to do this on our first trip here and we do not regret doing this. It allowed us to see so much of this amazing and varied paradise. Thank you for sharing your house! The Dunnagan Family from Boise

LOVE LOVE LOVE Hawaii and this house.

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to Hawaii was amazing and this house was a perfect quiet landing spot after a day of beaches and exploring. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and the set up of the house is perfect! Mornings on the upper deck has a great view of the ocean and fun with the gecko's, and the one evening (when we were actually home for sunset) we watched the sunset over the ocean...so pretty. Mornings on the lower patio were my favorite with a view of the scenery, the birds, the flowers AND the ocean. It was awesome for Tim and Tina to provide snorkel, beach gear and boogie boards, it was excellent having it all...we just kept it all in our vehicle so when we hit the beach we had all we needed right on hand. I jumped in the outdoor shower one evening and it was very refreshing and fun since I have never showered outside before. I hope we can go back some day and we will try to rent this home again. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
