About Nina Howard
My life is ruled by my 5 pound dog, Ling-Ling. I never thought a tiny dog could have such power over me! When I am not playing with her, I am busy running 5 Guest Houses in Ann Arbor or painting and gardening at my mini-farm in the mountains. I call North Carolina mountains my home but travel back and forth to Ann Arbor, enjoying my time in one of the 5 Bellanina Guest Houses. What a life!
Nina Howard purchased this Apartment in 1901
Why Nina Howard chose Ann Arbor
The growing demand for short term rentals (or vacation rentals) in the downtown Ann Arbor area have propelled me to continue to expand my offering. This sweet apartment is located in the old Pasadena Apartment Building on Division Avenue. The building is over 100 years old but the interiors have been completely renovated including newly refinished floors, walls, kitchen, bath making it a jewel box, much like a pied-à-terre in central downtown Ann Arbor.
What makes this Apartment unique
Close to everything. Within walking distance to U of M (near Diag), U of M Museum, Law School, library, restaurants, shopping. Park your car behind this Guest House and walk to everything including the Big House (U of M Stadium). Relax on your private patio. Laundry facilities in the basement. It's all here!

Exactly what I needed for this trip.
Well maintained, small but comfortable.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Nina's! She was so thorough in her initial instructions (I would highly recommend reading over this prior to your arrival) on obtaining/returning the key and the parking permit. Our room was comfortable and spacious; the TV was fairly large (although we never turned it on); the shower had an awesome water pressure; she also has lovely artwork throughout the unit! The location was also very convenient for us as we were mostly in the downtown Ann Arbor area. There was some normal building noise from other tenants entering/exiting the building, but this is to be expected by many of the structures in Ann Arbor; also, we had earplugs which helped. Overall, we would stay here again if returning to Ann Arbor.
Tons of character, GREAT location
We were in town for a football weekend. This cute unit was a great fit for the two of us. Everything you could want to do was walking distance. The owners are very responsive and nice, and check in/out was a breeze.
The only negative was that the apartment does not have central air or any fans in the bedroom. I sleep hot, and it was an unseasonably warm fall weekend, so having only a window unit in the kitchen made it a touch uncomfortable. But opening the door to the porch (the screen door locks, so we felt comfortable with the locked screen + security chain inside the solid porch door) let some fresh/cool air in. Not a deal breaker by any means, just the only thing making it less than a 5-star experience.
Location is perfect
Couldn't work the TV...bed very comfortable...nice being able to park the car and not have to use it again until time to go home
Perfect location in Ann Arbor!
My husband and I stayed for a week. We moved our daughter into her new dorm and because we simply love Ann Arbor.
The unit was a perfect size for two, spacious, ample closet space, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, super comfortable bed, walking distance to all the action of downtown Ann Arbor.
Nina was very communicative and responsive, and we would definitely stay there on our future visits, since it's two blocks from our daughter's dorm. We couldn't ask for a better location.
You are just 3 blocks away from the U of M Diag at State Street. Go the other direction and you are 3 blocks from Main Street. Centrally located.
