Owners have lived in Colorado for over 30 years. We love Denver and having the mountains so close. This has been a family retreat for the last 10 years. Our townhouse has been an escape from the daily grind where we relax, hike, bike to Frisco, kayak, flyfish and ski. We love that there is always something going on if you chose to partake; mountain farmers markets, concerts, and festivals in the summer.
Annette Daughters purchased this townhome in 2004
Our townhouse is only a 1 hr and 15 minute drive from south Denver and once we arrive in Silverthorne, we feel we are transported to another world. The close proximity to Frisco, Dillon or Breckenridge for mountain skiing, biking or hiking has been wonderful.
We love walking or biking the trails that run through the townhouse complex. We frequently stop for coffee at Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea and sit by the Blue River. Flyfishing is within walking distance and there is a great fly shop next to the Silverthorne Pavilion. There are numerous restaurants and taverns to enjoy, good food, music and cocktails. But the activity we enjoy the most, is sitting on the deck on a warm afternoon grilling with a glass of wine in hand.
Annette, your condo was great. Of course the stairs are always a challenge for us low attitude people. Best points are the garage, the straight through driving from Keystone and Dillon back to your condo, and, overall, the closeness to the evening places eating places. The hot tube was enticing, but we never took advantage. Your place was well stocked with kitchen utensils, the bathroom, and importantly, tissues for our running noses.
The garage was a bonus area. I was able to clean my car windows, store my cargo carrier gear, and, yes, was much warmer than keeping the car outside.
The bedrooms were comfortable and warm. The upstairs hall bath had both a hall access and a door access for the adjoining bedroom. That was a nice feature to avoid needing to go into the hall to be to the bathroom.
The living area was cozy and the open room concept to the kitchen made the living area more convenient. We played the Taboo game that you have there all 4 nights. We got through both sides. That was a fun game!!
Your condo was very nice and, we thought, very well located in the Silverthorne area, with a Target store and gas station on the main road to and from your condo.
We enjoyed our stay there and we do recommend folks consider your place. If available next year, we plan to make a try for your place again.
My wife and I had a terrific time; the condo was clean, cute and fully stocked. The outdoor hot-tub was great and when we had a small issue with the tub lock, the owners had their guy quickly come over and take care of it for us
The condo is pretty easy to find and is in the 'best' side of Silverthorne. We were visibily impressed with everthing presented. Everything was clean and all the appliances looked new. The bathrooms were fully stocked for 2 weeks. Looking for points to deduct we did go round looking for things that we not available, only to open another cupboard to find something stored there (often 2).
Our needs were pretty simple, we were out pretty early to ski and ate out in the mornings and evenings, but we then came back to the hot tub which soothed the excertions of the day away. Particularly liked the dressing gown and the shoes in garage provided!
I did cook on 2 occasions as the BBQ was neatly arranged outside the kitchen window. BBQ was brand new, but I did try to clean everthing off (I did want some thyme flakes but could not find in kitchen - I thought about deducting a point, but then realised this was my requirement, plus I used some olive oil that was available).
Having arrived with from airport with full ski gear we did not have much room for 'normal' clothes (any 'spare capacity' was eagerly protected for visits to the Silverthorne outlets), so first thing wife checked out was washing machine and dryer. Thank you for this, excellent - just goes to show I always look after her! You could also buy shares in Levis, Columbia and possibly Calvin Klein.
Silverthorne is great for skiing at Keystone, Arophoe Basin, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek (plus Loveland & Copper Mountain). This was why we chose it as location for holiday - we could ski in any of these resorts within 15 mins - 45 mins. Particularly liked Keystone (nearest), particularly that they do not charge for parking. If you want to finish your legs of try 'Ambush' and 'Powder Cap' on North Peak.
Overall a great holiday location and communication was excellent - thanks Annette & Harrie. Skiing in Europe next year, but you maybe 2018.
It was love at first sight - especially when we got to the second floor landing, and saw the Scrabble game. We both knew this was our home away from home. The amenities supplied were unbelievable. The kitchen was not only well stocked as far as cooking utensils, pots and pans, toaster, etc., but it had everything else. Plastic wrap, aluminum foil, baggies of all sizes. Every toiletry product you could need was there. Annette and Harry keep up with maintenance as well as keeping it clean. It was attractive from the moment we pulled into the garage, and the views from inside were just breathtaking. We rent condos every year for skiing in numerous states, however, we have never had one so well-equipped. Thank you both very much. We have not stopped talking about how delightful the stay was. There is so much to do in the area, and you don't need to drive to many of them. Hop on the bus at Silverthorne Station, and go visit Breck, Frisco, etc. Churches were very convenient. One of the things we enjoyed a lot was the Blue River Trail that could be accessed throughout the complex. If you weren't skiing or hiking, you could easily walk along the trail. We found the condo to be conveniently located to many ski resorts as well as shopping-food, clothing, etc. We really enjoyed the Arapahoe Cafe, and their daily specials. We definitely will be repeat clients.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at this condo and I will certainly look to book it again for a future ski vacation or summertime fun. Annette was very good at communication and made everything easy. The condo is exceptionally well outfitted - a well-equipped kitchen, toiletries in all bathrooms, extra paper products and ziploc baggies, shoes for the short, cold walk to the hot tub, etc. It is truly the best I have seen in several condo rentals in the area. The garage is a huge plus in the winter months. The location is great, just up a flat road and not the windy Wildernest road, so it's easy to pop into town for some groceries or whatever you need. Having the living area on the main floor and the bedrooms upstairs makes it easy for visitors with different bedtimes to feel comfortable. Speaking of comfortable, the couches and king bed were excellent! Can't wait for my next excuse to stay here. Thank you Annette!
We completely enjoyed our stay in Summit County at the Blue River Run condo -- Annette was so accommodating and helpful, and the condo was really a delightful home away from home for us. Clean, quiet and beautifully situated on the creek with views of the mountains on all sides. We were close to great hikes, lots of shopping, the beautiful Blue River, and great places to eat! I recommend the Dillon Dam Brewery for dinner, and we enjoyed an outdoor concert at the Dillon outdoor amphitheater as well. This was our third visit to the Silverthorne area in the summer, and we look forward to returning again in the future. We would definitely look forward to another stay at Annette's place!
