Not worth the price

  • 3 of 5

This is the first time in along time that we stayed at Fripp. The island and island service was everything I had remembered. We were disappointed in the property. It was not cleaned well. There were cob webs everywhere. Looked like it had not been stayed in for months. The outside trash can was completely full with no room for our trash. We also had a palmetto bug problem which after we reported, guest services took care of immediately. The outside shower was unusable due to the nastiness. The furniture (couches especially) were stained, filthy, and sunken in. There was also a hodge podge of dishes. For the money we spent it was not worth the value. Despite the accommodations we had a fabulous family trip.

Quiet and Peaceful

  • 3 of 5

Overall I had a very pleasant stay with my twin sons and a friend of mine. Very quiet - no noisey neighbors. Close to the main entrance, but easy access to the beach. I enjoyed having board games, and some books available for us when it rained. Clean inside, but a few long legs in the showers in the morning sometimes. With the humid heat, wouldn't hurt to spray for mosquitoes and other insects outside.

This home should state sleeps 6. There are 2 rooms with double beds in them downstairs, & then a set of bunk beds upstairs. There are convertible beds / couches, but it would feel very cramped with anyone else sleeping downstairs.

House could use some upgrades - new AC, new fridge, fans, tv, etc.... Everything was working fine, but there where warning signs not to move temps to a certain temp or it may freeze over. Just get it fixed.

Only thing missing in our "home away from home," was a blow dryer.

I would recommend for a small family, but not any more than 6 people sleeping in the house.

We stayed here with our daughter and her family for our vacation this year. After being a guest on Fripp for the past 20 plus years we have never had SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A HOUSE OR FRIPP RESORT! Upon booking the home states "accommodates 11", this should mean not only sleeps but will also seat @ the dining table and living room. Also be able to handle in the bathrooms. We had available to us very tiny bathrooms with minimal storage, no storage in the kitchen, minimal seating in the living room certainly not enough for 11 people. "Shonde" a property manager from the resort had to offer "you get what you pay for". C'mon Shonde surely we can have better managerial skills! We were offered 2 other properties at of course a higher rate if we so chose to after being in this house now for a day and 1/2 of our vacation. Quite a task @ that point to pack all up and move. So yea I guess you do get what you pay for Shonde. Thanks again Fripp Resort for making us feel so welcome.
