Whether you choose Online Booking or call us first to reserve, we look forward to making our reservation process easy and clear, from inquiry to enjoyment of Casita Madera! Our main calendar is on our management website (see Notes under our VRBO "Rates" for all our policies), so we will respond quickly to confirm if your requested dates are still available and provide information. Thank you!

This historic one bedroom casita was just lovingly and completely restored, using ancient quarter-sawn timber salvaged from the home to create door trim, accents, the bathroom vanity, and to add warmth and charm throughout. It is perfectly situated on a quiet street three blocks from the Plaza, and just one from the Santa Fe Convention Center and the O'Keefe Museum, allowing you to enjoy the best of Santa Fe with ease. King bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa, comfortable living room with a decorative (non burning) kiva fireplace (filled with mood setting candles), large bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast area and private patio spaces. Full A/C, WiFi, off-street parking, two flat-screen TVs, one dvd player, and many other amenities complete this wonderful downtown hideaway!

About owner/property manager

A native of Santa Fe, I love the relaxed outdoor lifestyle that our wonderful climate provides for skiing, cycling, hiking. In addition, the arts and dining possibilities here are endless and unmatched in the country, especially in a city of these size. The history and mix of cultures in town give a unique feel, and the name "City Different" is certainly accurate! Come, enjoy our wonderful properties and see for yourself. :) AdobeStar Properties

Love Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

Love this property. This is the second year in a row we have stayed in this casita. Perfect for a couple. Lovely one bedroom with nice kitchen and a grill outside which we really appreciate having. Walking distance to the square, restaurants and museums. We will return!

Pretty, comfortable casita with full kitchen. Within walking distance to the plaza. Some very good restaurants are only a few blocks away. The management is friendly and very helpful and the properties are well maintained.

Charming Casita

  • 5 of 5

This property has had an extentise and expensive redo. The result is a thoroughly charming casita, perfectly located for visitors to Santa Fe. We arrived half an hour before checkin time and the place was not ready. Apparently, there had been a miscommunication between the manager and the cleaner who not expecting us had left Casita Madera til last in the day. This was easily and quickly rectified and by the time we returned from a grocery run everything was sparkling. For the next 4 days we were able to take full advantage of our proximity to the centre of Old Santa Fe. While within minutes walking time to the Plaza the neighbourhood was quiet, and the people we encountered warm and friendly. There are literally dozens of restaurants and galleries, several museums, an historic performing arts theatre within easy walking distance. Because the Madera is so well equipped and close to super markets it was easy to self cater breakfast and dinners while enjoying lunches out. I'm happy to recommend Casita Madera to couples visiting Santa Fe. If we return this is the place we'll stay.

My wife and I found our stay at Casita Madera to be a wonderful experience. It is a charming residence situated close to town within easy walking distance to most anything you'd want to see, shop or eat. It is also within just minutes to our 2 favorite grocery stores, Whole Foods Market and Trader Joes. We also found it to be very accessible for our excursions to Taos and the Bandolier National Monument (highly recommended). The unit was extremely clean and the bed was the best I have slept on ever; like sleeping on clouds. The neighborhood is unassuming but very quiet and safe. We loved it and would highly recommend it.
