About Alison Morant

This home belongs to my Dad. It has only been used as a weekend home. Alison (former upper East Side NYC) and I (all Boston) are managing the home. We have spent a lot of time there, and know the town and area well. Feel free to call or email. This home is really a the center of the Cape with enjoyment anyway including just enjoying the big new deck, dock, fire pit.

Alison Morant purchased this house in 1985

Why Alison Morant chose Northwest Harwich

New interior. New furnishings. Very young big deck. Water front. Private dock. Fire pit. Lots of stars. The house is in a spread out community of modern open houses. These houses never sell.

What makes this house unique

In the middle of everything but also on a tranquil pond. In the middle but with lots of nature and lots of exercise.

Lovely Home in a beautiful location

The landlords were great, the house was very comfortable and clean. Nice pond views from the deck and kitchen area. We would stay here again in a min.

Cape Stay Review

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to stay! A gorgeous property at a very reasonable price. The house has every amenity you would need and the owners are so thoughtful and stock the house with every possible appliance you can think of. We stayed for a week and barely wanted to leave the place. The gorgeous deck over looking the pond is so relaxing. The entire place is spacious and well taken care of. We left thinking we couldn't wait to come back!

Location! Location!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a fabulous Sept week at this cottage. The cottage was very comforable, kitchen extremely well equipped and a great deck overlooking Black Pond for evening cocktails. Every day we went for a 10 mi bike ride b/c it was so simple and inviting. The rail trail is just across the street! One day we rode to Nickerson park! Every evening we finished with a swim in the gorgeous Seymour Pond. Bay beaches are minutes away and plentiful. I have to include a comment about how helpful and responsive Ric, the owner, was. If I had a question , he got right back to me. He even helped us with a car repair question!

Best Cape Vacation/Location we've ever had!

  • 5 of 5

We spend a family vacation on the cape almost every year and this was the best location and experience by far! Went to France this year instead of cape cod and I found myself missing this house and vacation! The location can't be beat -- central to anything you want to do mid cape to tip. 4 minute car ride to brewster General store. Right on the rail trail -- easy to hop on and off and was able to sneak off for bike rides when everyone was still asleep. The proximity to (3!) ponds is fantastic. The private dock on black pond is wonderful -- rented a SUP board which we used everyday. Would not recommend swimming there, but I'm a city girl not fond of swimming with turtles. More pleasant to swim just across the road 2 minute walk. The deck is beautiful for sunrises, sunbathing and stargazing at night. Amenities are wonderful and considerate -- fully stocked kitchen, nice gas grill, gorgeous deck and dock, great fire pit with easy starter wood, beach chairs, comfortable beds, everything is super clean. Rick is a delight to work with and offered excellent suggestions about the cape that were new to me even though I've been there many times. we were with our older teenagers -- fantastic for independence and privacy, but the house is great for any age or circumstance. Would definitely return!! Thanks so much Rick!

Perfect Spot!!!

  • 5 of 5

We spend a week on the Cape every year because of my husband's job. This is the first place we've rented in seven years that I am really looking forward to going back to next year!! Our kids loved swimming and fishing in the pond out back and my husband and I jumped on the rail trail every morning for a beautiful run. The location is perfect!!! Super easy access to Brewster, Harwich, Chatham and Orleans!

Rick was really great and easy to work with! We have our fingers crossed that it's available for our trip next year! :)

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house was awesome and the care with which Ric has maintained the house was outstanding. I went with a couple of friends there and the location of the house right on the pond kept us entertained. Brewster is a sweet little town with a lot of good food to offer. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quite time.
