Imagine that you are in a tropical paradise with nothing to do but enjoy the beautiful island of Maui. The Aloha spirit will replace the hustle and bustle of your busy life. Wailana Sands is just steps away from Maui’s world famous white sand Sugar Beach. At 5 miles long, Sugar Beach is Hawaii State’s longest beach and is ideal for long walks, sunning, swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, canoeing and relaxing. The bay hosts the humpback whales from December to May when they come in to calve. You can watch the whales as they breech. For the golf enthusiasts, Maui offers many beautiful and challenging courses.
Wailana Sands Condominium consists of only ten units so the complex is intimate, relaxing and friendly. There is never a crowd around the swimming pool or a line up for the barbecues.
A short distance away is the Kihei town center complete with shops, gift boutiques, clothing and grocery stores. You will find upscale and casual restaurants that will suit any taste. You will find all you need during your vacation just down the road.
Bright and sunny, this ground floor unit has everything you may want for your dream vacation. Relax on the lanai and read a book, chat or just lay back and enjoy the sun. Twenty feet away the azure blue pool is beckoning you for a refreshing dip.
Enjoy the flat-screen TV, stereo surround sound, DVD player and Hawaiian-style furnishings of the living room. Of course there is free WIFI too. Sliding doors open from the living room onto a large private lanai. On the lanai are a table, five comfortable chairs and a lounge. Enjoy your Maui ribs in the privacy of your dining room or on your own secluded lanai.
A second set of sliding doors leads from the dining room out to our peaceful enclosed courtyard. When you feel like taking a swim just walk 20 feet to the center of the courtyard and step into the pool. Our pool area is landscaped with lawn, Hawaiian palms and beautiful tropical flowers. The barbecue is located beside the pool.
Your will find a fully equipped kitchen with all the usual appliances plus such extras as an ice maker, filtered water system, coffee grinder, blender, insulated “picnic” casserole dish, plus the little “gizmos” that make cooking easier.
The large master bedroom with a queen-size bed and color TV has its own en-suite with a shower. For early risers extra facilities for making coffee or breakfast are located in this room. A small fridge is supplied. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a large closet. Both bedrooms are air conditioned for your night time comfort.
The grounds and gardens were recently described in a Maui publication as “The Best Kept Secret in Maui”. This exceptional courtyard is centered with an azure blue tiled pool that stands out from the air as you fly into Maui. The grassy area surrounding the pool is interspersed with Hawaiian plants and trees. At one end is our newly constructed lava fountain built by Bruce Ficke, a local Hawaii artist who has installed fountains in upscale homes and hotels around the world. Pull your lounge chair over beside it, close your eyes and enjoy the gentle splash of the softly falling cascade. Our newly renovated barbecue area boasts of a table with granite top and is highlighted with engraved tiles in a Hawaiian petroglyph motif.
Laundry facilities are available in a separate, on-site, building and as there are only 10 units in this condominium again you will experience no line ups.

Pat and Barb are the owners of this beautiful Maui condo. We have enjoyed many fantastic vacations here. We are especially proud of the decor and are continually making changes to update our unit. We have attempted to retain a Hawaiian atmosphere and make our home as comfortable as possible for our guests.

Why Owner chose Kihei
North Kihei is a less developed area and located close to the beach yet shopping and other facilities are a short drive away. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, the courtyard is beautifully maintained and the pool is always inviting.
What makes this Condo unique
Our courtyard contains a 6 hole mini-golf layout. Poolside is a great spot to sit and visit with the other guests. Guests often gather at 'happy hour' to discuss their activities for the day. It's a great time to get ideas and suggestions.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wailana Sands! There were two couples and the bedroom/bathroom accommodations were perfect. The efficiency was great, we had our own TV, kitchen supplies, bed, bathroom perfect!
The grounds were beautifully kept. Pool was nice, even a little "putting green."
Location was great. One short block to the beach. Kihei was centrally located, which was perfect for us, as we wanted to check out the whole island.
The condo had any & everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Barb & Pat were easy to reach, and helped us out with a situation on our departure.
If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable place to stay, this is it!

This was an excellent condo for 4 people as there is a separate unit with it's own amenities and entrance. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The location was only a short walk to the beach with views of an amazing sunset. The condo itself is nicely decorated and furnished with modern appliances. The private lanai was an excellent place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The other tenants were very friendly and extremely helpful in providing us with some valuable information about Maui as this was our first time on the island. I would definitely recommend this condo.

Great place to stay
The condo was very comfortable and well situated. We loved that the second bedroom had its own entry way, kitchenette and bathroom as it afforded privacy for two travelers with different body clocks to enjoy quiet time without disturbing the other. We especially loved the outside space with the spacious lanai facing the lovely pool area while affording privacy in the cozy nook. We could hear the surf and many birds. The grounds and pool/BBQ area were very well maintained and the property was just a pleasant, short walk to a lovely beach that you could walk for miles. Our hosts were accommodating and helpful. Other long-term guests at the property were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely want to stay again.

Full stay cancellations, or changes that result in a shortened stay made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payments and deposit unless the unit can be re-booked, minus the cancellation fee. Partial re-bookings will result in a prorated refund, minus the cancellation fee. Early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
