We started with a dream of being on Jocassee.
Why Owner chose Salem
Lakes Jocassee and Keowee are tucked under the Blue Ridge Crescent where the Appalachian Mountains transition to the mid Atlantic Piedmont. The Crescent shields this protected watershed from industry and large farming. Rapid elevation change creates abundant waterfalls that oxygenate spring feed streams that support some of the best trout fishing on the east coast. One of these, Whitewater falls, is the highest east of the Mississippi. The pureness of this untouched wilderness brought it into the Jocassee Gorges Preserve to be frozen in time. Spending time here is superior to any place we have ever been.
What makes this House unique
In a rocker on the porch, in the middle of paradise on the end of a point right on water’s edge, watching trout swim while loons sing is as good as it gets. With only 30 homes on 75 miles of shoreline its quite and never crowded. By the way, the lake is nearly 400' deep.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Breathtaking! Best Thanksgiving ever! We loved staying at this property and cannot wait to go back again!
Wonderful! The Best Views & Accommodations ever!
First of all, The main level Master King Bed was extra soft and I realized this is what I've been missing my entire life.....so comfortable! The views were incredible, the breezes plentiful, the water crystal clear and the House was Perfect! We brought our own tritoon because my husband didn't know what kind of boat would be at the house - Next time we will use the beautiful pontoon at the house (it's every bit as nice as ours). The dock was pretty easy for me and my bad knees to get to. Our yearly family reunion has found a new home away from home. We would love to rent this property every year!!!!
Such an awesome place. And Kyle is great to work with. We can't wait to go back.
Great house with an amazing fire pit. Great pontoon boat on a wonderful lake. We'll return again.
RENT THIS HOUSE! We could go on and on about this property... but I will be brief. The views, boat, and owner Kyle are the best of the best. We were greeted by a warm, happy home owner that went above and beyond to ensure our stay was superb. The boat is very nice and completed the total package. The house is great for a large family or multiple couples looking for a fun getaway. You will not be disappointed. This was by no means our first trip to Lake Jocassee... but definitely the most enjoyable.
Each time is like the first time!
Amazing as usual. We love it because our family gets to reconnect every year.
