Wonderful time at the lake.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was quite lovely and fit all of our needs while there for the week. The kitchen was a great space to cook in and well equipped. The beds and bedding were very welcoming after long days at the beach and winery tastings! A quick walk to a private beach and pier. We had a wonderful time! The owners were also very receptive to questions. Thanks again!!!

Dance competition getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with our accommodations for our week long stay for our 3 daughter's dance competition. The house was minutes away from the resort which made travel there and back everyday very easy. There were 6 of us and the size of the house was perfect. Initally, there were supposed to be 8 of us which would have been tight so I'm glad it was just 6 of us. We had an issue with the upstairs toilet and Kirt was very helpful and responsive. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the one bedroom was updated with a new bed and NO sofa bed in the room as pictured. The only thing we couldn't figure out was where the DVD player was and how to access the Smart TV options- written directions would have been helpful. Overall we had a great time and would definitely consider staying there again!

family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for our annual family reunion. Three other locations were rented in the same area. Our place was the nicest of all. No one complained about their bed, I found the master bedroom very comfortable. The kitchen better equipped than my own. Once we were there we had no contact with the owner but working with him prior was very easy. We used the grill and it worked great also. The only disappointment was the beach. It is adequate but not great. Our family would return again.

Cute Weekend Property

  • 4 of 5

We rented this home for a Cedar Point Weekend trip. The home is very clean and well decorated. I liked that they provided plenty of towels and extra sheets. Access/directions were easy. Kirt was easy to work with. It is in a good location--not too far from Cedar Point. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the beds. I tried two different beds (upstairs blue room and downstairs sofa bed). The sofa bed is newer and therefore more comfortable. But, the upstairs beds were not comfortable and could use an update. (I looked at the manufactured date on both upstairs beds). The sheets were also pretty worn. Perhaps even a mattress pad could be an improvement.

Other than that, it was a nice stay for the price.

Good location and comfortable

  • 3 of 5

Small living room and common area. Dining room table only accommodates four people and nothing outside

either. Says it sleeps 8, but there are only 3 bedrooms. All beds are soft and the double bed is very saggy. Good pots and pans in the kitchen - other equipment adequate. Washer & dryer very convenient. Bathrooms adequate. Towels very nice. We had a small problem with a sink not draining and the house manager was very responsive. Lighting in the living room is poor.

Might have kept house a little cleaner if there were a doormat outside the front door. Would have made good use of kitchen shears.

Owner's Response: I would implore anyone reading this to please take a look at all of the other reviews for accuracy. I will start by addressing your concerns. The house DOES sleep eight. The sectional in the living room is a very comfortable memory foam sleeper. The dining table does accomodate six people. The leaf is in the adjacent bedroom closet and the chairs in the kitchen are the additional seating. There is a mat right inside the door not on the outside because to acommodate the full view door for more natural light the mat does not fit under the door on the outside. As someone who does an extensive amount of cooking, I personally equipped the more than adequate kitchen.Thank you for the recommendation of shears. I'll be sure to add them to the kitchen although I think it is a minor indiscretion.. Two of the mattresses are new. The king size in the master purchased in April and the one upstairs purchased last year. I'm sorry you felt the living space was too small. I'm a traveler and I stay in accommodations around the world. As a matter of fact, I'm in Europe right now. Most living areas are not expansive because travelers generally don't use them extensively but rather take in the many things to do while in the area. However, for evening relaxation, there are 4 televisions on the premises. I have never had a complaint about the living room lighting but I will certainly make an assessment when I return Let me close by stating that my full time profession is an Interior Designer and consultant of home staging and income rental properties; not to mention that I have multiple rentals. The house has been assembled with every travelers needs taken into consideration in addition to a very pleasing coastal decor theme. Most importantly, the house is immaculate.

Great House on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

My family of five stayed at this beautiful house at the end of June. Kirt was very easy to deal with, answered all of my questions quickly. The pictures do not do the house justice- it seems to have been updated and looks even better than the pictures. The house is very comfortable, plenty of room for my three kids and enough space for everyone to spread out. The keyless entry was very easy to deal with. The dining table is a little hard to get five people around, but it is easy enough to spread the kids around the spacious kitchen island. Comfortable couch, beds and pillows. It had everything I needed to cook, and the central AC was very nice with the warm temperatures. The house is on a narrow road, not far at all from the community park. The mayflies were in season so we did not spend much time there! Very close to Cedar Point and not a far drive to Cleveland (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). Just a few minutes to a gas station and small stores for quick stops, easy highway access as well. Neighbors were very nice and welcoming. Complimentary bottle of wine was a wonderful added bonus! Hope to stay again soon.
