Redwood Rendezvous-Great for Families and Groups! Hot Tub, Walk to Russian River

Bedrooms 4
Property type house

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8) Dog Friendly

Redwood Rendezvous, one of the most charming homes you will find at the Russian River, is sweetly tucked under a canopy of its own redwood trees. This year round retreat is great for families with children, adult couples, and groups of friends. Redwood Rendezvous is the perfect base of operations, whether you choose to do everything or nothing. The location is ideal: off the beaten path, yet central to all our area’s terrific local attractions like the Russian River (2 wonderful dog-friendly beaches are a two minute walk away), the Pacific Ocean, wineries and wine tasting, hiking, bird watching, golf and sightseeing.

The main living areas at Redwood Rendezvous are all on the upper level. The living room, dining room kitchen, 3 of the 4 bedrooms (Twin beds, King bed, and Queen bed), newly tiled bath and a fully outfitted 375 square foot deck are all on the upper story. The upper story can be accessed from the road level or up the flight of stairs from the back deck. The upgraded kitchen has granite counter tops and knotty cherry cabinets. The dining room seats up to 10 guests. The open beamed living room has a skylight-filled vaulted ceiling filled. The huge stone gas fireplace completes the ambiance. Just off the living room, on the way to the back deck, is a bar/reading room with a second refrigerator to keep your beverages cold. The large deck has cushy seating for 10 guests, an outdoor heater and a propane barbecue. At one end of the deck is a large hot tub. Your view from the hot tub is a beautiful, lighted redwood canopy. At night, twinkling stars shine through.

The lower level at Redwood Rendezvous includes another full bath with tub and shower, washer and dryer area, game area and family room. On this level you will also find a very large bedroom with a huge lounge chair that begs you to lose yourself in a good book. Everyone will be well entertained with 3 TVs, darts and lots of board games. There are 2 separate entrances to the lower level. *Please note that there are no interior stairs between the upper level and the lower level. There is off-street parking for four cars in back and along the back fence there is a large, vintage stone outdoor fireplace, barbecue and a patio with more seating.

About Russian River Vacation Homes

We are Russian River Vacation Homes, a part of D&G Equity Management, Inc., a family owned and locally owned/operated property management company.

Our Story:

In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community.

Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael's client, Bob, asked "Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?" Michael said "Sure!" and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals.

We strive to make each and every stay the best one ever. If you have any questions or concerns about reserving or staying with us, please don't hesitate to contact us! We are here to help.

Why Russian River Vacation Homes chose Guerneville

Guerneville is the largest town on the Russian River, and has a variety of excellent restaurants and shopping. There are many wineries within 15-20 minutes. Guerneville is also home to the amazing Armstrong Woods, and it's just a quick drive out to the coast! Guerneville is a fun and free spirited town that makes for a great getaway!

What makes this house unique

Redwood Rendezvous is a happy house, filled with cozy cabin charm and a relaxed redwood cabin vibe. We love this home because it is a great place for families and friends to come together. Groups with teens will appreciate the separate downstairs. The path to the river's neighborhood beach is convenient and makes the river easily accessible.

Guestbook comments from the manager

...and very comfortable place" 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Redwood Rendezvous... plenty of comforts, lots of space, and perfect small touches. We appreciated the separate yet close arrangements of the rooms, especially the bedrooms. Everyone could spread out and find privacy.

Cute, spacious home in a beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed a wonderful time in this home that sleeps eight with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Kitchen was beautiful and spacious. Extra pillows, blankets, and chairs are provided. Everything worked very well. The hot tub was a bit small. A few things could be replaced (pots and pan are old and scratched).

Overall, a great place.

Night Sky in the Redwoods

  • 3 of 5

This home is very comfortable and easily accommodates eight adults. The deck is large enough to enjoy the days and starlight evenings, and the redwoods are literally in the backyard. The parking area can handle up to four small to medium size cars, and the information and details provided on HomeAway are accurate. The only downside would be (personal perfrence) is the street is really close to the house and you can hear the cars as they pass by, especially when the cars drive by and you're resting in the front bedrooms. There is no question that this home was a great choice for my family and we will enjoy the memories for a lifetime.

This property is beautiful outside and comfortable and cozy inside. Seven women from my church stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The balcony with heaters and hot tub were awesome. The downstairs unit is large and has a bedroom, bathroom, TV room and laundry. Would be a great place for couples with or without children.

Would have given it 5 stars but there is a lot of street traffic noise, vehicles go to fast. The beach is a short walk but with no sidewalk, poison oak along road and no sidewalk you must be very careful. The downstairs smelled a little musty and older windows were difficult to open. Should be aired out before tenants arrive. Motion light on stairway makes it easy to get downstairs.

Great house on Neeley Rd "Freeway"

  • 3 of 5

The description of this house is almost accurate. Yes fairly close to the river and walking distance to town but you take your life in your hands when walking on Neeley Rd. We had small children and I would not recommend this to families with small children or the elderly. They need speed bumps on this road desperately!! The house is a cute house and plenty of room for a group of 12. The porch is great with the Redwood forest all around you. As for cleanliness the carpet is disgusting and needs to be replaced. Most of the beds are comfortable except the twins that squeak badly. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of towels and the family had a great time in the hot tub. BBQ needs its guts replaced. Make sure it does not burn up your food! Nice bar area and all in all we had a great time. This house just needs some TLC and an elevator to the beach.

Very disappointed!

  • 1 of 5

There are a number of quite large issues with this property. In the end, these issues are something that should be told to the owners and future renters. Some people may consider the lack of disclosure to be borderline fraudulent on the part of whoever is in charge of advertising the property.

I had intended for my daughter-in-law (7 months pregnant), my son and grandson to have the down stairs. But, when we walked in we immediately detected a “mildew/mold” odor. Black mold is visible by the tub, and most likely is present in every other room in the downstairs area. My daughter-in-law said that she would be concerned sleeping there. So, we had to arrange sleeping quarters differently.

The handle on the refrrigerator is broken, so when you go to open it, the top part of the handle lifts off the refrigerator. How is it that your cleaning crew has not noticed this? I wonder how much cleaning the property actually receives — this isn’t something that can easily be ignored. If nothing else, the presence of a broken handle gives an indication as to how well the property is taken care of. Certianly if a broken fridge handle can’t be fixed, larger, more expensive things (potentially dangerous things like the mold) will go unfixed as well.

The living room chair closest to the kitchen is broken. Unknown to any of us, my daughter-in-law sat on it to remove her shoes and almost landed on her bottom (obviously not something a 7 month pregnant lady found comforting). The entire front of the chaiir caves in when you sit on the edge of it.

We chose to cook on the grill one night and found that the racks were all rusted and had to resort to covering it with aluminum foil. In it’s present state, the grill simply can not be used without taking extra precautions which are really just silly. I wouldn’t think you should be advertising a grill without mentioning the racks are unusable in their present condition.

Owner's Response: Dear Sandra. We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. It’s our sincere wish that our guests have truly great vacations, so it saddens us when it doesn’t happen. We want you to know that we work hard to keep the properties we manage in excellent condition. Sometimes things go wrong at the exact wrong time, like during your stay. To address your particular concerns - Both the chair and the fridge handle were checked recently without issue. The cleaner did in fact call our office about the fridge handle when she cleaned after your stay and she was certain that the handle wasn't like this the last time she cleaned. It looks like the handle gave way just in time for your stay. Our apologies, for this, and the chair as well. Again, we had no reports of a broken chair until after you departed. We’re very glad that your daughter in law is ok! We are in the process of getting a new handle for the fridge and have spoken to the owner about having the chair replaced. Thank you so much letting us know. We’ve ordered new grill racks for the BBQ. Again, very sorry that you ran into that. Redwood Rendezvous rents on almost a constant basis and sometimes it’s hard to judge when it’s time to replace things like that. We find feedback like yours really helpful. We are taking a look at issues you noted with the lower level. Again, our most sincere thanks for communicating with us. In the event that you stay with us again at Redwood Rendezvous, or another one of our homes (and we hope you do!)…if you run into anything like this at all, please do contact us right away during your stay. Our office is open 7 days a week and we’ll do everything we can do while you’re here to make things right. Warmly, Ellen -Russian River Vacation Homes
