Our newly renovated two bedroom cabin in Silver Gate, Montana is conveniently located one mile from the NE entrance to Yellowstone National Park in the Bear Tooth Mountains. We’re open from the 1st of June until early October. It’s located directly on the Soda Butte Creek with mountains in front, behind, and beside the cabin.
The cabin boasts a beautiful view of the mountains, a stream, and the numerous wildlife visible from our deck and backyard. Frequent visitors include bear, deer, moose, bison, fox and wolves. Opportunities for hiking, fly fishing, and photography excursions abound. Horseback trips and rafting can also be arranged with local guides.
The region is rich in history, wildlife, fly fishing, and hiking. You can experience it all within a short hike out the front door of the cabin and/or drive. Silver Gate is a perfect place to base for your exploration of Yellowstone National Park, the Beartooth and Absaroka Wilderness areas, and the large number of mountain lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and trails in Montana and Wyoming.
For those craving a more familiar touch of civilization, Silver Gate and nearby Cooke City provide Rocky Mountain dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
