Blue Skies Apartments St Lucia
About Francine Anthonisz
My husband, Simon and I are English and moved to St. Lucia in 2007. We renovated this property and set up Blue Skies. We love the Island and our ambition is to help our guests have a fantastic time. We love the Rodney Bay area, it is where everything happens. You have the best of both worlds: the buzz surrounding the restaurants, bars and night-clubs along by Reduit Beach...The beautiful scenery and quiet sophistication of Rodney Bay Marina parading elegant yachts of every shape and size. Within a few minutes we have Pigeon Island - a National Park, so quiet and beautiful: you can lay on a near deserted beach taking in the fantastic views with the calm waters of the Caribbean sea gently lapping. For contrast, travel another 7 or 8 minutes to the wild side. Cas en Bas Beach is on the Atlantic Coast: here the constant warm winds provide power for the Kite Surfers and horses take their riders into the sea. The landscape is rugged and breathtaking. We offer to take our guests to all the places mentioned, the day after they arrive, to show them the diversity of this part of the Island and hopefully help them to get as much as possible from their stay. Throughout the time guests stay with us, we are available to assist; whether it is a small thing like where to buy a particular item or some thing larger -planning a major excursion of the Island for instance, we are always delighted to help in any way we can - we love St. Lucia and want our guests to leave with unique and long-lasting happy memories.

Good location for a couple of days in Rodney Bay
Good, well equipped, spacious accommodation just a short walk from the marina with a lovely pool.
A beautiful setting
The house is separated into 3 apartments, of 1,2 and 3 beds.
We were in the ground floor 2 bed.
The pool and gardens are beautiful.
The apartment is well appointed, with everything you need, and serviced 2-3 times a week for towels and linen changes which is nice.
A short walk to Gros Islet harbour restaurants and the best bakery (7th heaven). A slightly longer walk, or inexpensive taxi, to Rodney bay village, with many more restaurants and bars.
An excellent base to visit pigeon island and the cricket
Home awsy from home but with sunshine and a pool.
Fabulous. Super location. Villa exceeded expectations. Simon was a perfect host. Only a call a call away and no detail too small. So dont be afraid of a scam this ones real. You cab book with confidence that you will enjoy your stay and live your villa.
My husband and I stayed in all three apartments at Blue Skies. We were in St. Lucia for one month and booked late. Simon and Francine were able to accommodate us on their property however it involved a few moves. Simon and Francine were most accommodating. Simon ensured we had a charcoal BBQ for our stay. If there is a problem it is addressed. The cleaning lady Tailene ( I apologize for the spelling if incorrect)was lovely as well as the gardener Sherman who kept us in coconut water. A lovely stay on a most beautiful island made special by Simon and Francine.
Dear Simon and Francine. Although it has been almost two months since we stayed in your wonderful condo, we still think about the lazy days, the perfect weather, the peace and quiet and the leisurely walks in the evening to source out another dining adventure. You were the perfect hosts, and your love for Saint Lucia and your property was very evident. The tour on our first day was a great way to get to know the local area and your recommendations for eating out were spot on. The day tour south to the Pietons was a great way to learn more about the island and its history. We look forward to returning with a fresh batch of books sometime soon.
Every bit as good as the photos
We spent a month in the apartment. It was as delightful as the photographs imply and previous guests attest. There can be few better locations on the island. Simon and Francine were the most convivial and attentive of hosts. The shops are within walking distance and the bus stop at the end of the road ensures easy access to beaches and sites that may be of interest. A car is only necessary for those wishing to go down south or venture inland. We hired one for a week. A robust vehicle of the sort that Simon can provide is a good idea given the state and gradients of the minor roads! We were not disappointed with any of the local restaurants that we tried or places that we visited. Enjoy your time here: we did.
We are minutes away from Rodney Bay Mall, Marina, Reduit Beach, Gros Islet village the golf course, the racquet club, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and nightclubs as well as Pigeon Island National Trust Park, home to the St Lucia Jazz Festival, and Beausejour cricket ground which hosted the World Cup Semi-final.
A short walk takes you to the Rodney Bay Marina where you can hire a boat to go whale watching or deep sea fishing. Frequent buses leave from there and you can be in Castries in 15 minutes, or Gros Islet for the Friday Night Jump-up part in five.
Hire a car and visit The Pitons, marvel at the walk-in volcano and stroll through the old capital, Soufriere. Take a sedate airborne ride through the rainforest canopy or observe the exotic flora and fauna as you hurtle down a zip line.
St Lucia's beautiful beaches are ideal for windsurfing, sailing, kite surfing, water skiing and water biking.
