Relax on our large, covered, private third floor lanai while watching the spinner dolphins, whales breech (in season) boats and other activities in the ocean or happenings on Alii Drive. YES, OUR CONDO HAS A BEAUTIFUL DIRECT OCEAN VIEW!!!! Right in the heart of Kailua Kona, you're only steps away from oceanfront shops, restaurants and the waterfront!

Newly decorated, our lovely condo is fully equipped with everything you need in a home away from home for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months. The romantic bedroom offers a california king bed and plenty of closet storage. In the living room is a fold out queen sofa. Quality linens are provided and the unit also has a new HE washer and dryer for your convenience.

Kona Plaza is a four floor quiet condo community with elevators and free secure covered garage parking.

We do not have hidden fees and recently saved a lucky traveler almost $200 by renting with us!

Combining warm aloha with Southern hospitality, we offer you a wonderful vacation experience!

About Jinger

My husband and I fell in love with the Big Island while honeymooning in Kona in 2004. We bought a home near Southpoint in 2007 and purchased our Kona condo in 2011. We combine warm aloha with southern hospitality and strive to exceed your expectations!

The minute I walked into our Kailua Kona condo and saw the gorgeous ocean view, I knew this was the place for us! We are right in the middle of everything and enjoy leisurely walks by the bay, to the shops and to a variety of restaurants.

What makes this condo unique

There are so many wonderful things we enjoy about our Kailua Bay Hideaway! The view of the ocean from our lanai, watching the dolphins play, the cruise ships and activities in the water, the convenience of being in the heart of Kona and in walking distance of everything, the variety of restaurants and shops, the pool, being beside the Mokuaikaua Church and across the street from Hulihee Palace! What's not to love?

all you could ask for in the heart of Kona!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of downtown Kona, look no further than this well-maintained and thoroughly-stocked apartment. The building is literally located a block before the main downtown strip of restaurants, bars, and shopping, so walking is a breeze. But for those planning day trips to other parts of the island, additionally helpful is the included parking space. It really was the best of all worlds in terms of location convenience.

The unit is well-stocked with plenty of linens, a full-sized washer/dryer, and anything you would need to prepare a full meal should you wish to stay in and eat on the lanai, which offers a gorgeous view. The mattress in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable (not always the case in VRBOs!), and the ceiling fans throughout the unit helped to keep the warm Kona air sufficiently cool and well-circulated during our trip at the end of April. That said, we did try out the a/c unit on the first night of our stay, but found the a/c to be a bit weak (probably my only caveat, and only applicable to those who plan to travel during the hottest months).

The owners, Jinger and Roger, seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that our stay was a pleasant one. They were highly communicative throughout the planning of the trip and even with questions that arose during the trip, so it was a comfort knowing that they were always just an email or phone call away.

A comfy place to stay in a great location!

We had so much fun at this comfy condo in a perfect location. We found it was the ideal place to come back to after a day at the beach. We walked down Ali'i Drive every night and tried different restaurants for dinner. The big island didn't disappoint- we explored something new everyday and could have stayed another week! Thank you Jinger and Roger!

Central place downtown Kona well equipped

We had a great time, loved the view from the Lanai and the central location. Just walk into Kona and many restaurants and shops. Apartment was beatifully decorated. We met the cleaning lady on our way in, she was very helpful. Very well equiped place and kitchen. Contact with Jinger was fast and friendly. Deposit was returned quick. Property is well maintained.

Lovely stay in Kona

Perfect Location!

Finally got around to entering my review after the busy holiday. This is the second time vacationing on the Big island for me and my wife and we decided to stay at Jinger and Rodger's condo again. We found the condo to be perfect and convenient in the heart of Kona where we can walk everywhere. As my wife is a triathlete, she would walk down and join the other swimmers down at the pier. The one day I watch from the lanai with the binoculars. Another day I saw a lot of dolphins. Aside the convenience, the kitchen had all we needed to eat in when we wanted to. The condo is clean and well kept. We will be staying here again the next time we vacation on the Big Island. Thank you Jinger and Rodger for sharing your home. Mahalo!

A Lovely Little Gem in the Heart of Kona!

As soon as we got to the Boise, ID airport, the snow started falling. Our plane had mechanical problems, we were put on a different flight. That flight was delayed. Long story short, we got into KOA very late. An hour in line for our car. Then the rain started. But after following the great directions we were given, at last we arrived at our destination. It was love at first sight!! Everything was spotless and very well decorated. Jinger thought of everything!! The bed was very comfortable. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on the lanai and every night we watched the sunset. We were so close to all the restaurants we wanted to try. Happy hour at Hugo's on the Rocks was a favorite. As a side note, it was a little noisy first thing in the morning as the business in Kona were getting ready for the day, but nothing we couldn't deal with. We hope to return as soon as we can.

Stay in the heart of historic Kailua-Kona with a beautiful ocean view. Walk to shops, restaurants, beach and pier. The first Christian church built in Hawaii, Mokuaikaua, is next door to the complex and can be viewed from the the third and fourth floor sundecks. It's a beautiful church and still holds regular church services. The Hulihe'e Palace, previously the vacation home of Hawaiian royalty, is located across the street from Kona Plaza on Ali'i Drive. It's now a museum run by the Daughters of Hawaii and frequently events are held on the ocean-side lawn. The Farmer's Market is a short walk from the condo on Ali'i, offering fresh tropical fruits, souvenirs, homemade items and clothing.
