This home is a classic, cedar shingled, two-story Hamptons cottage located in the heart

of EastHampton voted 'prettiest village in the U.S. The house underwent total renovation in the winter/spring of 2008 which includes a new master suite with Juliette balcony, three full marble bathrooms, wireless internet, central air, radiant heat and a state of the art kitchen with all top of the line appliances. The decor is 'sophisticated country'- a mix of antiques, wicker, white slip-covered comfortable sofas and chairs, and charming paintings and collections throughout. The house is filled with natural light and has a fabulous sunroom right off the kitchen overlooking the back gardens.

There are beautiful mature trees, shrubs and perennial gardens, and a rose and wisteria covered arbor leading to a very private, heated,gunite pool and brick patio. There is an outdoor shower located at the pool. There is a "bonus" summer room next to the pool with refrigerator ,sink, comfortable seating and brick dining patio with tables and umbrellas attached to the summer room.

You are within walking distance of everything, including live theater, cinemas, restaurants, shopping, museums, etc. and exactly one mile from the magnificent, wide ocean beaches of EastHampton. it is truly a situation where one can enjoy the privacy of the cottage and pool and simply relax, or choose from a very wide selection of activities.

I do not do group rentals nor short term...sorry.

Summer enchantment

This is our fourth time at Buell Lane, We've come every July and it never fails to enchant us. Anticipation sets in early, in Febuary, and by May we are counting the days. I cannot imagine more charming surroundings, where every room, every object speaks to the senses. Perfection. The early light fills the sun room, our bedroom has windows on three sides and it feels like we are living among the trees: we listen the birds sing though out the day. The small balcony overlooks the lovely English garden and the clear swiming pool beyond, behind the climbing roses, enclosed by a well-tended hedge; at night I sit there and watch the firelies or the occasional thunder storm. Every room is filled with old rugs, lovely antique beds and lamps, patchwork quilts, books, sea shells, and a terrific vast collection of first rate art mostly 19th century and mostly about the rugged New England coast. Our friends love to come and stay. They invariably take loads of pictures! Buell Lane is like an often photographed beautiful child, and we have scores taken from every angle. The charming house also has a state of the art kitchen, which I love, perfectly appointed bathrooms, several last generation tv sets, and great central a/c. This cottage is Paradise, great for entertainment or just for the two of us. We hope to keep looking forward to July for many, many years to come.

Damage Deposit $4,000

Two additional checks are due thirty days before occupancy, again direct to owner, by money order or certified check, in the respective amounts of $4,000. security (refundable at end of tenancy if no damages) and $2,000 as utilities deposit toward use of electric and gas for term of tenancy. Balance on the utilities to be either rebated or due to owner at end of tenancy based on actual bills.

A 50% deposit is required by money order or certified check direct to owner at signing of lease.
The balance is due same as above 30 days before occupancy.
