About the property

Lake House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 14-15)

This awesome house has the best of Lake Lanier views and 4 of the 5 bedrooms are suites. We also have 3 king sized beds in 3 separate bedrooms! It is a unique lake house that is loaded with what your group is looking for: bring your boat to a private covered dock on deep water, year round gorgeous long-range sweeping water views, 2 full living spaces with 2 full kitchens, 5 private bedrooms, loads of living space in 4300 square feet, and privacy from neighbors.

Mostly you will fall in love with the outside of this property. The front is level with lush landscaping and an easy driveway with loads of parking suitable for RV's, boats or trailers. The views from the house are unobstructed from the sides, living areas, master bedrooms, and both level of porches. Walk through our grassy backyard down to the dock which has a covered slip left empty so you can store your boat there. Don't worry about lake levels: the dock is never dry and the slope is mild making it a great swimming area. This area of the lake is where the Chastatee River and the Chattahoochee River intersect, keeping the lake water flowing clean and fresh. There is beautiful, big water right off our shoreline but because our area is not highly populated, the water stays quiet and calm.

As you walk into the home, you will be welcomed with a 2 story wall of windows in the almost 600 square foot living room. From there you can walk out to either the open porch and grill or go inside our large, 2 story screened-in porch overlooking miles and miles of pristine Lake Lanier. Also on this main level you will find 3 bedrooms with sleeping for 10 plus a gorgeous kitchen and keeping room: gather your loved ones around the dining table next to a stacked stone fireplace. This level of the house is perfect for entertaining with a butler's pantry, double ovens, multiple seating and gathering areas centered around the kitchen with stainless appliances, glass tile and granite counters.

Downstairs and you will find an additional open kitchen and living space boasting granite, stainless appliances and beautiful views of its own. Two more bedrooms both have king sized beds and you also have your own washer and dryer as well as access to the patios and lake. Finally, we have some great conveniences: 2 sets of washer and dryers, a 2 car garage, all your linens and paper products provided and both levels of the house are handicap accessible.

This Gainesville location is just a skip and a jump to loads of activity options: a public boat ramp about 2 miles away, great golf courses, an amazing outlet mall, the city of Atlanta, Stone Mountain, the North GA mountains, and so much more.

Come enjoy the view!

About Kelly Finley

We are two best friends local to the North Atlanta suburbs who enjoy one another enough buy this house together! It is such a dream to achieve a shared goal of having an amazing house to enjoy with our kids, families and friends. Our lives are busy so this is just what the doctor ordered to take some time away from that and we are happy to be able to share it with our future guests.

Kelly Finley purchased this house in 2012

Why Kelly Finley chose Lake Lanier

The location is so convenient... so close to so much. A short drive from Atlanta and all it has to offer and locally all the restaurants, activities and conveniences you would want. However, it is truly a rural and mountain setting making you feel as though you have left it all behind. The location on the lake is amazing... we looked long and hard to find these kinds of views and access to a great spot on the lake. The property is private and lovely, both rustic and refined.

What makes this house unique

We can't wait to fulfill all of our vacation dreams here at our new vacation home... mostly we want to sit and do nothing, enjoy friends and family and good meals. This house will be our place to recharge our batteries and reconnect our relationships. We hope you will find the same for you and yours.

Great House and View

  • 5 of 5

The house was the perfect size for my large family's Christmas weekend. The view was amazing and we loved spending time in the lower level kitchen while the kids played ping-pong or watched TV. There were no issues and if we had any questions they were answered quickly. My family and I want to comeback and see what it is like in the summertime! This is a great location and house to stay for any vacation!

Nice location.

  • 4 of 5

Set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Adequate space for the eight adults and six children in our party. Some updating needed throughout which would mire than likely take care of the musty smell in the lower level. Table tennis equipment needs replacing.

Spacious house, quiet location

  • 4 of 5

Large house with spacious rooms, big kitchen, all that you need for a wonderful stay. The floor plan is a little weird (took us 15 minutes to find the stairs to the huge basement - which is pretty epic actually; and the 4-bed bunk room does not have a bath near by) and it seems every light switch is actually on the wall in a different room, but it does have everything you need and the furniture and bedding are all very nice. The wifi was spotty, fine if you are on vacation (I'd pay extra to interrupt internet access on vacation) but if you need to do work while away, that can be a pain. Very secluded location, feels very private. Overall would recommend.

It was everything and more!

  • 5 of 5

Several of our adult family members had "decade" birthdays during 2016. With our having just moved to Atlanta in the last two years, many of our siblings hadn't been in this part of the country, so this was a great reason to get together and we decided upon Lake Lanier. The home was very clean and well maintained and it has all the dishes and glassware we could ever need. The main level kitchen was very large and well appointed! The second, more than fully equipped kitchen on the lower level made using the backyard gas grill handy one for one of our evening meals and the patio seating was plentiful. The view from the home's back porch and deck was wonderful, and since it faces east, the sunrises were pretty, too! The driveway goes down to the house from the road, and part of the drive also goes down to the lower level so we were able to drive our 87 year old 'mom' down to the patio to be with us when we gathered outdoors down there.

The 5 bedrooms, all but one having a bath attached, really helped make the stay comfortable for nearly everyone, including the "outlaws." [The four of us that stayed in the 5th bedroom (the only bedroom without its own bathroom) had to go across the length of the house and down the stairs (or go through someone's bedroom) to reach a bathtub or shower. Fortunately, this was the only slightly awkward arrangement for our all-adults stay.] There were 13 adults in our group, and all but one had an actual bed (only 1 in our group needed to sleep on a sofa-bed).

This is a big house with lots and lots of roomy rooms that allowed us all some private "me time" as well as plenty of spaces to gather all together or to gather in a few smaller groups throughout the weekend. We would definitely recommend this house to others, and we thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the Port Royale Marina and Pelican Pete's restaurant. We thought about going to the Keith's Bridge Park, but decided we had everything we needed right where we were!

Beautiful house perfect for large family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I and our three children along with their families just spent a wonderful vacation at this awesome lake home. The house is beautiful and the layout couldn't have been more perfect for our family of 13! It is extremely spacious. The screened porch was a favorite gathering place for enjoying our morning coffee as well as meals. The ping pong table downstairs provided evening entertainment for the grandchildren. We brought our boat and enjoyed days of skiing and tubing in the quiet cove! The dock was perfect for fishing too. Kelly was very helpful & easy to work with. We will definitely be back next year!
