Spiders and heat.

  • 2 of 5

We stayed at this cabin over a weekend where we were going to Chattanooga. The pond was great and we even caught some fish. However, there were spiders it seems like everywhere that appeared to be brown recluse. We found mouse poop in the closets. The central air did not cool the house very well. The refrigerator was just below room temperature. And the freezer let our popsicles melt. Overall it had an unclean appearance and did not seem like it was fit for us to stay in.

We brought to the attention of the owners the issues we had with the central air and the refrigerator. They did bring out window units that helped a little, and they did something to the refrigerator that made it work for a little while but it eventually petered out again.

House was nice but the $75 cleaning fee is a little strange considering how unclea things were.

House could have been a lot cleaner. Overall we enjoyed our stay with our kids/ grandchildren. Caught bream and small bass fishing in the pond. Our granddaughter fell in love with the stray cat ( it got more chicken than I did). We never had hot water. We went to nearby Folsom Falls swimming and hiking. Overall we had a great time but would advise the owner to do some minor repairs and better clan the premise

Perfect for our weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful & the view of the pond was absolutely gorgeous. The location was close to town yet far enough for privacy. Everything was included (linens, towels, cooking utensils etc) so we were able to pack light & the house felt like home. The check in/out process was super easy and much better than staying in any hotel. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Not worth the price

  • 2 of 5

The house seemed like a work in progress. The wifi was terrible. There was no curtain in one bedroom. Shower in master bath doesn't work No hot water in master bath sink. Folding doors in master bath was leaned into the closet. The heater when it ran was so loud it drowned out the tv. The back porch was missing a step and was blocked top and bottom with chairs. The threshold on the back door was broken. Front bedroom with bunk beds required another heater to sleep in. Overall clean but way overpriced.

Perfect family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our beach vacation was canceled due to hurricane Matthew and we needed a place to vacation with the kids and grandparents. We decided on this cabin because of the reasonable price for the size/number of bedrooms. This cabin exceeded all of our expectations! It is full of charm and we loved the country feel. The cabin is fully wheelchair accesible. We loved the open layout of the kitchen/living room. The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond, swinging on the tree swing and playing with the neighborhood cat! The location was close enough for a short drive to chattanooga but you get the secluded feel of the Georgia mountains, the best of both worlds! Thank you for a great stay! We hope to find ourselves back!

Incrediby Nasty

  • 1 of 5

During our visit, the house was filthy; the first thing I did upon entering the home was to sweep the floor. The bedspread on my bed had a large darned patch at the end of it; my daughter and little grandson slept on stained sheets. There were no garbage cans in any room except for the kitchen. There are no dressers in any of the rooms; therefore, there is no place to put your clothes. We killed roaches in the house. The small bathroom has mold on the back door; the shower curtain does not keep the water in the shower. The "book nook" has unfinished plywood that is unsafe for any person. Every room has at least 1 light bulb that needs to be replaced. We tried to cook baked potatoes on Tuesday night. There is so much dried food on the bottom of the oven, the oven began to smoke and we had to turn it off to ensure that it didn't catch fire. There were 4 spoons and 7 forks for 6 people to use; all of the plates and bowls are chipped and unmatched. The house smells terrible; my grandson climbed on my bed, put his head on the pillow, and said, "Your bed smells odd." It did. There is a large water stain on the ceiling in the dining room. Everything in the house is chipped, stained, or broken. There were other concerns inside the house as well as the outside of the house, but I believe I have painted a picture of how horrible our vacation property was.

Because of the terrible living conditions, we left early. Multiple attempts to contact the owner have not been successful. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this property to anyone.
