“Our large family stayed at this beautiful Ossipee house for a family wedding in the area. We had just the best time. On our free day we enjoyed the beach and boat access and the babbling creek in the back yard. There was space for everyone and it ended up being a great fun getaway in the north which is an area we all love so much!”
We had a great family getaway on Lake Ossipee! The house was perfect for our family which included 6 children who loved the bunk room! Best parts of renting this house include the access to the golf cart for bringing your stuff to the beach, the proximity to the lake, and the large size with private sleeping accommodations for a group. (to get an idea of sleeping arrangements: three rooms each offer 1 queen or full bed, two basement rooms have 2 bunk beds each and each includes one double over single bunk, plus couches, and one twin bed open in the loft area which we did not use) We had fun exploring along the shallow river. We loved the large deck and grill, and the screened porch was a good place to eat smores and get away from the mosquitos. Indian Mound was great for golf though a bit pricey. We loved nearby Yankee Smokehouse, Hobb's, Pizza Barn, and OMG Ice Cream, but it was nice to have a full kitchen to cook. Check in to local rentals, we found the pontoon boats and paddle boards well worth it to enjoy the lake! Definitely call the town to get directions on trash disposal as there is no pick up. Overall a great stay for a big group.
A large group (four adults and ten children) stayed at this home last weekend. We wanted a short getaway and we had a lovely two night visit. The home is large with lots of sleeping options. Not many houses on VRBO could fit the number of people in our group.
The beds were comfortable and clean. We found the living room area to be very cozy and loved the two big screen televisions. Also the Wifi was a nice bonus as we were all able to play on our iPads in the evening hours. The finished basement area was perfect for all of the kids. They loved the three bunk beds and had a great time all sleeping together in one room. It was nice they had a separate area to unload their things. The bathrooms were also very nice~ a total of three bathrooms. One on every level.
The house was clean and nicely decorated. We found the rate to be very affordable.
There are so many options as far as things to do in the area. We went tubing at King Pine (just a short distance away). The kids loved it! We ate dinner at the Pizza Barn, which is right down the road.
The home's location was right off of route 16 and it was very easy for me to locate it.
We will surely keep this house in mind if we ever return to the area. It is definitely a great rental.
A few friends and I gathered up our kids for a winter wonderland vacation and this was the perfect house for it! All the adults were in comfortable bedrooms while the kids occupied the walk-out basement with 3 sets of bunk beds (one twin over full), a dartboard, and a large screen TV. The kids were in heaven and so were the parents! The house was warm, clean and comfortable in every way, with 4 bathrooms for lots of privacy. The beds were very comfortable, as was the large living room with roaring fireplace and big TV. The house was clean and well-kept and the owner was a delight to work with. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and easily seated our party of 10 on two tables in the dining room area. The house is high on a bluff, and there are lots of stairs to get up to the house - but it was worth it. The view from up top was wonderful. There's a fabulous river at the base of the house and from the upstairs deck, we could hear its indescribably lovely babble all through our vacation. The decks were great even though it was winter - I can only imagine how wonderful the place is during the summer. Our kids aged 7-11 loved the steep wooded hillside of the yard and spent hours outdoors climbing and exploring. There was a baseball field in walking distance and the great snow-covered expanse of the golf course. We spent our days skiing, tubing and skating at King Pine, which has a great children's beginner program and is a very family-friendly mountain. We noticed but did not get to enjoy a very pretty screened porch gathering room. Would be lovely in any season, I think. Our stay was too short! Will return for sure.
I recently stayed at this Lake Ossippee rental and it fit our needs to a T. We had 5 families stay with 5 small chirldren. The house was clean, and spacious and we would definately go back again. The bottom bed room served as a second play area for the kids and we were able to enjoy the living room and fire place upstairs. Everything was perfect, clean, and comfortable. Easy access to snowmobiling. The kitchen had all everything we needed, we grilled steaks and can't wait to go back again next year!
