Fantastic for our family!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the house!! The location was perfect and the basketball court was key! We played a little basketball, put up a net and played pickleball, and cormhole on the lawn. Spacious outside, cozy inside. Coffee on the deck. loved when the train passed. Super easy on/off the hwy to hood river.

Absolutely Loved our Stay at The Cider House!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay at The Cider House was fantastic. We loved the history, character and charm of the home. The setting provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere to come back to after a day of hiking, biking and touring in the area. The owners were very hospitable, responded quickly and provided great suggestions about activities and sights around the area. We were two families, 8 adults, in the home and the space was generous and comfortable for all. Looking forward to returning to the area and staying at The Cider House!

Great Family Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our time at the Cider House. It was a lovely spot to relax, with plenty of room for our group of 7 adults. The dogs loved roaming the grounds and playing in the pond. Lots of nice amenities were provided, such as shampoos, body wash, coffee, lots of kitchen spices and condiments. The kitchen is completely stocked with every utensil you can think of, including blender, mixer, cocktail shaker, colander, grater, etc. Great short walk to the river. We happened to be there during 100% weather, and the house did get quite warm, but would cool down by late evening.

Convenient Location, Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

I am grateful to have discovered this little oasis of a home to stay in. It was close to friends, family and the wedding venue were we met to celebrate as one big family. The house felt like home, with it's warm and cozy feel while offering ample space for all of us. The property is spacious, beautiful and full of beautiful flowering plants, herbs, shade trees and a little stream that originates from a natural spring. When I first walked out through dining room french doors to a connecting deck, I was brought to tears at how beautiful and serene this place is. Everything I needed for the stay was provided (sheets, towels, cooking utensils, spices, etc). I plan to stay here when I return to visit friends and family. I would like to take more advantage of the myriad of outdoor activities available nearby. Thank you to the owners for the planning they did to make this an ultimate retreat home.

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

The house and property were as advertised. Wish there would have been some wind for windsurfing (rock creek launch is just around the corner), but sometimes that is how the wind gods like to play. Our kids loved the swings and outside play area. We will keep this one on our list of places to stay in the future.

Very enjoyable stay

  • 4 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time staying at 'The Cider House'. The owner of the house was extremely kind and very knowledgable about the area. The booking arrangements went smoothly. We were traveling with two small children and a family member who has limited mobility. We felt that the house was accommodating to everyone in our party.

The home itself is lovely. The artwork inside is wonderful and the whole home is extremely clean. The wooden floors in the kitchen provide a warm feeling that is present throughout the entire house.

We would definitely consider staying here sometime in the future.
