This cozy home rests on the shore of beautiful Lake Pend Orielle. Located in quiet South Sandpoint, this is the best waterfront location in the Sandpoint area. Within walking distance of all of downtown Sandpoint, including; shops, restaurants, the historic Panida Theatre, night life, the City Beach, and much more. The Sandpoint Festival (Summer Concert Series) is held only a few blocks away.

Watch the sun set over the water while sipping a drink and sitting by your private fire pit or at the end of your private dock. Great Southern views which maximize sun exposure in this Northern region.

Master suite faces the water with great views from the bedroom area as well as the bathroom. A second bedroom is located upstairs with private exterior entrance and exit. There is a second full bathroom located upstairs. A bonus room with a bunk bed is located downstairs as well as an unfinished half-bathroom.

About Mike

I have lived in this area for more than 20 years and love the outdoors. I have lived in many places in the Idaho Panhandle from as far North as the Canadian border and as far south as Coeur d' Alene. I have settled in Sandpoint because all this great small town has to offer. I spend Summers; fishing, playing on the lake, hiking, picking berries, riding bikes around town, and playing with friends. I spend Falls hiking and camping in the mountains. I spend Winters skiing in the mountains and ice skating. I spend Springs; rafting, Spring skiing, enjoying the emerging life, and traveling. Sandpoint is the perfect home base for all these activities and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Mike purchased this house in 2004

Why Mike chose Idaho

This home was purchased because this area is so amazing, and I could not find a better location.

What makes this house unique

The waterfront views here are second to none. The location is perfect...in town, but away from the noise and crowds.

Endless Outdoor activities. Incredible wild berry picking in the summer.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had such an amazing time at the lake house. The location couldn't have been better, being right on the lake with a great view and full lake access, and just a couple minute drive to beautiful downtown Sandpoint. Can't wait to go back!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! I agree, the location is perfect! It does not feel like you are in town, but a short stroll, bike ride or drive and you are right in the middle of the dining and shopping district. I hope your group is able to make it back for another visit. Thanks again, ~Mike

Perfect Lakefront Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My two girlfriends and I stayed here for over a week and we had a fabulous time! The private dock allowed us to relax and unwind and take a dip in the beautiful lake whenever we wanted. Being so close to town allowed us to cut down on using our vehicle, which I loved! The house was very well kept and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend!

Great experience in charming town!

  • 5 of 5

This home has so much character! Perfect location within walking distance of the main street in Sandpoint. We loved Arlo's, McDuff's and all the local breweries in town. They even have bikes available for use which we cruised around the pedestrian friendly town.

The private dock was perfect for reading, tanning, napping and watching the stars at night. We will definitely be back! Thank you for offering your house to others!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review Jordan! Great to have you and your family here. It sounds like a return trip is already in the works for this summer, hope to have you back. I agree, in conjunction with the incredible natural beauty and endless outdoor activities, the many restaurants, pubs and breweries are a big part of what makes Sandpoint such a great vacation destination. Thanks again for taking the time to submit a review. Mike

Nice stay

  • 4 of 5

The house is spacious and well stocked. The yard is very big with lots of green space and backs right onto the lake. Our kids swam right off the private dock. Location is also good if you want to be walking distance to town.

Only issues were there was lots of goose droppings on the dock (the geese kept coming back) and there was a small private beach area that my kids loved but could use a bit of an upgrade.

Overall a very nice family vacation.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the review and suggestions Jamey. I appreciate the feedback on the dock and will work on solutions. Possibly a few large, potted plants will deter their visits. We have been fighting an ongoing battle with the lake. Every spring and during the large storms, it likes to take our lovely sand from the beach. Alas, I think we have come up with a solution. During the off-season we have been working on a retaining wall to preserve the sand and it seems to be doing the trick. We will be putting the finishing touches on the wall this spring (2017) and are optimistic that it will provide the desired results. Thanks again for the feedback and for taking such great care of our place. Hope to see you again in the future. Mike

Close to town, right on lake!

  • 5 of 5

This rental has everything a family or couple could want to just move in and pretend it's theirs for a week! We absolutely loved it and had around eight people staying there. There are bikes available and a dock with a protected swim Area between the dock in the beach with shallow water. You can easily walk or bike to the fun part of town. The house has an awesome layout and at night we laid out on the lawn in super comfortable lawn chairs and watched shooting stars and satellites orbit the earth. There were even bats flying above us for a little while each night which was so cool for the adults and the kids. The neighbors were really friendly and even helped us retrieve a Tupperware that the kids threw off the dock and was floating down the lake in there paddleboat! There was nothing we complained about and it lends itself to family time with ease. If you are an obsessive review were like I am, you may have just found your spot! Mike was a breeze to work with as well.

Owner's Response: Serena, thanks so much for the great review. We've been working hard to provide the perfect vacation spot. Each year we try to come up with additions that will help create the "complete package," like the bikes for our renters to use, free of charge. I agree, the private dock and beach are definitely a couple of the highlights. Your group took such good care of our place and left it in great condition, thank you. We would Love to have you back anytime. Thanks again, Mike
