About Scott Meyer

Our names are Scott & Betsy Meyer. We have owned Silver Pines since 2002. We bought it for a place to get away, and wanted to offer it to other people to enjoy it as much as we do.

Scott Meyer purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Scott Meyer chose Ohio

We love the area. It is so peaceful, and the country side is breathtaking.

What makes this cabin unique

No major traffic congestion, just the occasional clip clop of an Amish buggy. All the amenities of home, but not the worries.

Sister Vacation

  • 4 of 5

3 of my sisters and I stayed a week at this house. Very secluded so no noisy cars, just the sounds of Amish children going to School and playing in their yards, and the clip clop of horses hooves. We would stay again if the opportunity arises!

Quiet, well taken care of with a great view!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet, remote destination to have a get together for my friend's bachelor party. This property far exceeded our expectations. From all the beautiful landscaping to the amenities inside, we could tell that the owners really care about you enjoying your stay. The view from the back deck is awesome and I was surprised to find the grill they had on the property was a Weber. We brought 6 different vehicles which made parking a little tight but not at all unmanageable. All in all we had a great weekend and would definitely go back in the future.

Great place to relax with friends!

  • 5 of 5

8 of us adults stayed at this property and we all had a great time! There was plenty of room for sleeping everyone, and unlike other reviews stated, we were able to park 4 cars in the very long driveway. We enjoyed the outdoor space for games, pond for fishing, and the fire pit in the evening. If there was any negative it would be that a few of us got lost, despite the owners spot on directions. Some of the turns are just hard to see. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway full of beautiful scenery!

Such a peaceful and serene place to relax and enjoy!

  • 5 of 5

This home is very well maintained and provides a pleasant atmosphere to relax and enjoy with family and friends or even just a romantic getaway for two.

Although remote, it is within 10 minutes of most tourist atttractions and shopping.

The owners were very accomodating, as if to offer there own home over to us for the weekend. It's fully stocked with most everything you need for a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend and look forward to a return visit.

A Welcome Place To Relax

  • 5 of 5

My family just stayed three nights and loved our experience there. This home is very private. The serene setting was perfect for a little quiet relaxation. We fished the pond, hiked the trails, and grilled out on the deck. It is really a stunning place inside and out.

The home was more spacious then I anticipated. Felt like home, very clean and roomy. The view from the deck is beautiful. We highly recommend this house and we will be returning.
