Here for golf trip. Home was very easy to find, charming neighborhood, very convenient walk to town. About $50USD less than a 2BR suite at the Golf and Leisure Hotel per night. You don't have to share a bedroom with your friend and listen to him snore. It is about a 10 minute walk to the golf course. Great for a family, 2 couples, or 4 golfers
Our family stayed 1 week in this large property and had the time of our lives. There was plenty of room in the house, so many of our family came and stayed for a night or two during our holiday. With copious amounts of games and toys available to our children it meant that they were never bored and the house itself was light, airy and extremely clean. It was of great advantage to us that we were able to walk into Lachinch within a couple of minutes and there was so much to do in the town itself. Amazing house. Amazing town. Amazing landlady.
We rented this house over Easter 2015 and it was without a doubt the best house I have ever rented. We are a family of 6 plus we had extended family calling & staying over the weekend. There was plenty of parking for cars, a secure garden for the children to play in and a lovely sitting out area. The kitchen was magnificent with the owner having a selection of essentials provided. Lots of utensils, crockery & decent wine glasses were put to good use:) We had plenty of room for feeding all of us as the table comfortable seats 12. The sitting rom was perfect with good selection of channels & DVD's provided. The bedrooms were very spacious and everyone had a good nights sleep!! It was in an ideal location for walking to town & beach.
Our family including our six teenagers enjoyed this home immensely! Just a quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and dropping off extra towels for us. The large yard was very relaxing.
We enjoyed two sunny beach days. A local told us to visit the Cliffs of Moher by parking in a farmers field and walking the back way! We obtained directions at the Rock Shop and paid a nominal fee for parking and enjoyed a much less crowded hike along the cliffs.
This location is very family friendly and I highly recommend it.
This house was the best we have rented in the last 10 years in Lahinch. Clean, spacious , 3 bathrooms and 5 minutes walk from the beach.A large and well maintained back garden and sunny patio to relax in and the perfect base to explore Co Clare. Also very convenient for teenagers to come and go with surfboards and for Chinese takeaway without needing lifts, and to be able to walk home late safely.Grandparents also appreciated the close proximity to shops and the prom but also how quiet the area around the house at all times.I would highly recommend this property and have already reserved the same week for next year.
A new attraction this year is the walk from Hags Head to The Cliffs of Moher [ 3 k approx].Go through Liscannor and take a left opposite the Rock Shop.Continue past the Sports Grounds and park in the designated car park for 2 euro. The view from the top of Galway Bay and the Arran Islands at sunset was stunning.
This is a great property for a large group (including kids). We comfortably accommodated many guests periodically throughout the month. All amenities were in excellent working condition and the large kitchen was well stocked with glassware, dishes, & cookware. A small but functional butane barbecue is also available for patio cooking. Although there are a few additional rentals in the area, the neighborhood is friendly and very quiet, conducive to sleeping-in on a beautiful Irish morning. An elementary school is located about 100 yds to the rear of the house and the pleasant sound of children at recess is refreshing. A four minute walk to the shoreline at dusk will give you a wonderful sunset view over the Lahinch surfers' beach and O'Brien's Tower, standing guard over the Cliffs of Moher, about 15 miles to the west. The owner provided detailed information on local hikes and reviews of pubs, restaurants and music venues. The owner was also readily available by phone to assist during our stay.
