Clean and comfy
Nice attention to detail by the owner. It was my mistake that I did not note the property description didn't have a small fridge or microwave (there's no room for it). I saw "studio" and kind of assumed ... but it worked out nicely anyway. Once you get off of 85th St, the surrounding neighborhoods are really wonderful.
Wonderful quiet room
This was a great place to stay for a visit to the Seattle area. Very close to public transportation to downtown Seattle, and easy to walk to and on Greenwood Avenue. The room was quite, clean and had nice amenities, including wi-fi and a desk for work. Was greeted daily by a super sweet dog and cat.
Just what I needed
This is a great place if you`re a single looking for a place to sleep and shower. It`s in a very quiet and private part of the building.Very clean and easy to get to. As a bonus there is a very friendly dog and cat to greet you when you go in. 5/5 would use again
Nice, small studio, but poor parking...and a 1am wake-up by the landlord
The landlord has done a nice job fitting a 1-person studio into a small space...and there are lots of nice little touches w/ in it.
There is no parking provided...the nearest is 1.5 - 2 blocks away and dropping off your stuff at the front door means navigating a very narrow driveway between tall townhouses and then pulling out onto a VERY busy street.
At 1am I was awakened by the landlord asking if their cat was in the room. Uh, no. I'd inquired beforehand to assure that the dog and cat never venture into the room as I'm allergic...so there's no way I would have the cat in the room. The landlord then went outside to try to find the cat...leaving the dog right outside my door...a dog that whined incessantly for 15 minutes because it had been left alone. Suffice it to say my sleep was interrupted and today I'm raaaather tired.
Sadly, I won't be returning to this spot..both because of the parking situation and because of the middle-of-night interruption. I don't expect to be interrupted unless my life is in danger....
Thank you for leaving a review.
Our listing and messages clearly communicated the following:
1) Pets live on the property and they are indoor only. The guest failed to mention that he was the one who let the cat out that night and saw the cat outside without alerting us. The 1am interruption would have been easily avoided if he had read our instructions. This cat has never been outdoors without supervision, so I apologize that he is left "raaaather tired" while we were trying to save it from the busy street he mentioned.
2) The use of the narrow driveway is at the guest's own discretion and we do not provide parking space. We are left wondering what the use of pointing this out was? If the guest wanted parking, he could have booked somewhere else easily, we offer free cancellations.
We welcome all guests to our home but also expect them to respect our space and the rules of the house. For this reason, we cannot recommend Mr. Schwab as a guest.
Cozy and comfortable
Affordable and comfortable. Good hosts. I’ll be back next trip!
Cozy, quiet and convenient
This was the perfect spot for my stay in Seattle. So close to different bus routes and walking to many coffee shops, local shops, Green Lake and Woodland Park. The bedroom and spacious bathroom had coffee, snacks, soaps and shampoo and similar items you'd find in a hotel like free WiFi and a hair dryer. Their pets would occasionally greet me, which was lovely, but the room was pet free. Just great!
