About Leslie Briggs

My husband, Bob, and I bought this rustic log cabin in 2009 and restored by hand over 2 years . We have countless wonderful memories here, as we spent almost every weekend of the summer for 4 years at the cabin. The cabin has been on the long term rental market for 5 years and has now just come available as a short term vacation rental. I know you'll love this very special property as much as we do!

Incredible cabin on beautiful Watts Bar with wonderful customer service!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was an absolute pleasure and perfect for our needs! We went on a guys weekend and couldn't ask for more the first day the owner texted to make sure we were happy, that in itself is incredible! Plenty of room for all of us, we grilled out and fished, there is plenty of plates and silverware, with clean accommodations! The dock is amazing two level with room to comfortably tie two boats. There is even a fire pit for the evening time, no wifi or cable but who needs that with all the outdoor activities you do get great cell phone service! We will return and will stay here! Thanks for letting us enjoy the cabin!

Beautiful view of the lake but needs updates.

  • 3 of 5

The upside to this property is lots of sleeping room. If you have a large family, it will sleep at least 10 people. The view of the lake is beautiful and has a nice 2 story dock.

The cabin itself needs some updates and proper cleaning. I notified the owner with my concerns and was promptly told they would review the issues and correct what needs to be corrected. She agreed with most of the items I brought to her attention. So that being said, I do not feel we should have been charge the entire cleaning fee. No offer to make up for our issues was made, but was told they would correct the issues for future stays. I feel the owner in fact will correct the issues.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback. The issues were addressed and corrected. 1) Previous renters had not properly scrubbed 2 skillets prior to returning them to the cabinets / I agree that it was not acceptable. Housekeeping has been notified to look at all “clean” dish in every pantry as part of their routine maintenance. 2). A coffee filter was left full of grounds in the coffee maker from a previous renter. This was a simple oversite, for which we apologize. 3) a “critter” was making a racket either in the walls or on the tin roof. We made a thorough search in the attic and found nothing. We are continuing to try to catch it. However, the tin roof amplifies any squirrel, bird or other animal that may scamper across it. We are in a remote location with lots of wildlife. Regarding the cabin needing updates, we respectfully disagree. Our property is advertised as “rustic” but comfortable and there are many, many detailed realistic pictures of the inside and outside of the cabin. We believe it’s rustic nature is part of its charm. I do not believe we have misadvertised it as a luxury property. I am sorry it did not meet your expectations.

Fantastic cabin on the lake

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to just sit and take it all in. Awesome views, and plenty of space to relax! Leslie was super easy to work with, even refunded our cleaning fees without even asking (squirrel got in the house, no fault of hers). I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to take in the beauty of the lake and all it has to offer! A++++

Brangan family

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the house and the view of the lake was awesome. We went 2hrs to Dollywood and 1hr and 15 to Rock City. Bring your fishing rods for the fish, smores for the fire and just relax. Kids played board games and hung around the swing on porch. Only thing that is needed to know was the hill getting to the house. Yes it's very steep and can be scary going down!! But every night we looked forward for that last adventure Weee!

Beautiful, Comfortable, Clean!

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying here for a whole month while my husband was working in the area. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and the view was stunning! We spent almost every day in the water and watched sunsets from the upper dock. The owners are extremely friendly and very accommodating. She was quick to respond any time I had questions. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope we are able to stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Briggs cabin for 3 nights while our son was at gymnastics camp in Crossville, TN. The cabin is as advertised and is a great place to stay if you want to relax and unplug for a few days. Would definitely recommend the Briggs cabin.
